lol, glad i was able to stir a bee's nest.

for one, the srt-4 isn't a fast car.

and anyone who says, "if you spend XXX$$$ it'll go fast", same goes for any car.

the best weight reduction method is to get a lighter car.
there is no replacement for displacement. (and/or boost/nitrous)

and i used to be one of those faggoty ricers i speak off, and perhaps thats why i hate it so much more than most everyday people.

Then why did you buy one?
TheNumberOneD wrote: and anyone who says, "if you spend XXX$$$ it'll go fast", same goes for any car.
Very true, although I'm sure I'm going faster, or almost as fast with my 98 and weight reduction as other people have with power mods.
TheNumberOneD wrote: the best weight reduction method is to get a lighter car.

So you're saying we should all go out and get CRX's and mod those? You realize a CRX is tons lighter than an SRT, or even a 1gn neon? They can go 11's on motor and still be street driven.

That's your own fault. The weight advantage of carbon fiber is amazing, and it looks great too.

I'm not a ricer, but, I happen to like the looks of a chrome muffler tucked up under a bumper, and I love the looks of raw carbon fiber. Hopefully one day, my 98 coupe will have less body damage so I wont feel stupid about putting a carbon fiber trunk on it. Then again, I don't want to be called a ricer by some guy on the internet. Or if I get an SRT-4 next year, it's getting a 3" MPX (cannon) single exit exhaust.

lol, i'm not making fun of anyone on 2gn, only ricers.

and the word faggot isn't a bad word... seriously...

it's as harmless as the word crap.

the weight saving of carbon fiber is amazing compared to..... what?

removing the passenger seat will save more weight than a cf hood/trunk/fenders and removal of the spoiler...

so i dont see how it's so amazing...

and raw texture cf is ricey... imo

Well, just so you know, teamlivid has all sorts of Carbon Fiber on his car, and even has a carbon fiber ring, is he a ricer?
EDIT: Also, would adding a badge from another car onto your car be considered rice? Like adding a viper badge to an SRT?
TheNumberOneD wrote: and the word faggot isn't a bad word... seriously...

Thats a bunch of crap.
TheNumberOneD wrote: the weight saving of carbon fiber is amazing compared to..... what?
In comparison to stock parts? Stock hood vs carbon fiber, even if its only a 10lb difference, and then the trunk, maybe a 10 lb difference, that adds up to 20lbs total. Then removing the airbags, thats 35 Lbs, switching to racing seats...see where this all adds up to?
TheNumberOneD wrote: removing the passenger seat will save more weight than a cf hood/trunk/fenders and removal of the spoiler...
