First pics and new toys arriving

Post by Cabbs » Sun Jul 27, 2008 4:57 am

Some of you may remember me, most probably not. I used to post a while back, but then I decided that it wasn't worth the money to put into my little Neon. All i have are these horribly compressed pics from my friend's myspace (his camera), and he still hasn't given me the original unresized pics.

The whole upgrading thing changed a few days ago though.

I've got a 2.5" Trubendz exhaust, motor mount inserts, and a shirt that says "2ND GEN FTW on the way.

I don't know. The Neon community is small enough, it would be sad to see another one go :D

Prepare for "Empty Wallet Syndrome" a disease caused by the irresistable urge to modify your vehicle. When you think you're done....think again, you aren't. :)

Good luck with it, keep us posted!

My wallet went from 800-120 in a matter of a few days, I think I'm already feeling it :(

I'm gonna be getting rid of the chrome on the grill inserts pretty soon, so that should help the look a bit.

Coilovers come next when I get the funds.

I tried telling him, but he was too wrapped up in his Yaris excitement. Whatever, he's the one that likes it.

Going 2.5" all the way back to a Magaflow muffler at the back.

TNK, consider me there.

Edit: Oh yeah, I got my motor mount inserts in, pics in a sec.

Already planned on the video clip, don't worry :)

I have a little issue now. I'm hearing a sort of creaking or rattling from the engine bay when I start to go or under part throttle. I know it could be cause by the extra vibrations, but there's something that I missed in the manual.

The washers it comes with are two different sizes, 1/2 and 9/16, and I have no idea if I put them on the right mounts. Also I'm using the small washer that originally came from the stock mount. Anyone have anything they can say?

The exhaust is on, all I have right now are these two crappy pics. It's not too loud under normal driving, but it gets loud when you hit the gas. It's raspy under WOT, so I'm gonna get a resonator sometime or a cat if the antifouler mod doesn't work when I get around to it.
