I changed the tranmission fluid and oil today. Shit was nasty.

yes, turbo is blown. Thank god turbofolds are cheap as shit on SRtforums, ordering a new one as we speak.

It is going to need work, but it is FAR from unsalvageable.

I'm still working on the car so I will post back in a few seconds.

Bought new pads and rotors as well, having friends giving you shit is FTW@!!!!!!!!

Yeah got some new pics, I will make a progress log.

I'm a total fucking noob with SRT's.

The turbo was not blown, installing a mopar riceplate tonight and painting the valve cover. Had my friends look over the entire car and things are looking good. (Turbo has no shaft play YAY)

It reminds me of the fast and the furious where he has the wrecked supra

Need to connect the surge plate/rice plate and check the headgasket

A $65 DCR 5 layer will probably be my choice if I have to go that route. Getting some smoke from the breather. Might also be the piston rings. I bought the car knowing it was going to need some work.

Oh and the valve cover looks like shit.

Either way if I slammed another $2k into this car it would be very nice...

Yeah I will get some, right now it looks like SHIT. A fucking blind retard painted the valve cover. My friend is going to spray it for me, gloss black with red letters. It has a polished intake manifold and needs a cleaaaan. Plus that stock airbox is HIDEOUS

I'm pretty jealous... that's pretty sweet for 5k... looks like a clean car. well hadn't you told us it looks like a birds nest under the hood anyway. Still, clean. Are there plugs in the trunk, or was it swapped?

My friend is going to pain the valve cover for me. I am not sure what color scheme to go with...was thinking black with red letters? Although now that I see it I might go red with black letters... :tardbang:

My Advice....

- Hmmm is the car an 03? That PCV valve looks strange.

- You need to get a breather filter from autozone for the intake side, don't attach that to your intake.

- Your vac lines are wrong, the green line shouldn't go to the wastegate if I remember correctly.

- Go to the dealership...now...and get a heatshield for that manifold. They are seriously like 8 bucks. You need ones.

- Get a plugwire heatshield too.

- That catch can is mounted totally tard...fix that. lol

- And where the hell is your vacuum solenoid??? Interesting contraption....very interesting.

What PCM is it running? Stock?

First of all, car is 2003 with stock PCM. (ZOMG STG0 LULZ!) haha

-PCV is different because it's an 03, i'm getting new one at stealership tomorrow.

-The vac line colors mean nothing, they are all wired up the way they should be they're just different colors. My friends gave me all their old stock vac lines so I have like fifty multi-colored lines in my trunk. It's T'd from the TB to the BOV and brake booster I think. (My friend wired it up for me, he's got a 400whp SRT so I think it's right)

What do you suggest for the catch can? It's got a leak on it at the bottom, I need to cap it off.

I am not looking forward to getting a heatshield or putting it on...god

Okay I figured it was an 03 because of how that PCV valve looked, but wasn't sure. And didn't know what PCM you were running so I had to ask. It doesn't appear that the TIP sensor lines are hooked up, and on a serious note it would be easier for you if the colors were all mated up the way they should be. That way if you were to change things around, you know exactly what the instructions were talking about.

Heatshield isn't bad AT ALL with a close end racheting 10mm wrench. Its wicked easy with one of those bad boys. I tell you, cause I know. :)

Leak on the PCV line is no bueno, car would idle kinda funny if the leak were serious enough. I'd go with a Greddy, JMB, Bwoody or if you really want to spend some money, an AGP Accumulator.

BTW not doing this to pick on you at all, just trying to help since you said you are an SRT noob. Oh and loosen up the bracket thats holding that A/C hardline, and then push the line downwards. The radiator hose should be on top of the hardline. Looks better that way.

Oh and if you can get your hands on an 04+ valve cover, I would seriously recommend it. The 03 PCV valves are more prone to leaks than the 04 PCV valves are, as they upgraded the design a bit.

Here is what I mean by the Radiator hose/Throttle cable setup:

Please don't think of it as picking on me, I need all the suggestions, tips and helps I can get.

Faggots like this can DIAF
You didn't want to spend $5,000 doing a swap because it would be a lot of work and hassle so you spent 5000 on a beat up trashed SRT-4 that will end up being more work and set you back another I'm guessing $5,000. Am I missing something?
But everything else that will help the car works....

Oh and like in my motor picture, the PCV valve hose should be on the opposite side of the injector wiring harness. Its pulling the harness by being run that way. But it looks like he ran it that way because he didn't have enough 3/8" fuel line for the catch can.

What is the car boosting? Without the tip sensor being hooked up you are running solely off either the wastegate or the boost controller, taking PCM controlled boost out of the equation. Good for someone like me with a Profec, bad if you dont have any thing else to control boost with.

I have on idea what the hell a TIP sensor is...but it's not boosting at all, can't hit 1lb to save my life. I'm thinking maybe there is no clamp on the charge pipe because everything else is zip tied and clamped.
