Wow, this looks AWESOME!!! Lmao!!

Post by 2000deepamethystneon » Sun Dec 07, 2008 6:41 pm

Well, not really.

I took my wheels off for winter (since it friggin snowed yesterday) Now the car is covered in road salt and filthy!

Now I get to sport around on the fly ass black steel wheels! Haha. I think the rust on them just adds to the effect.

I also took my altezza's back off. That is why the tail lights are so clean in the pics off all the stock wheels on the car. I think I may leave my stockers in. The longer the altezza's were on the car, the less and less I liked them.

Enjoy my sweet looking ride!!

Front wheel changed........whick looks better??

:squint: salt eats metal. lol.
salt + aluminum rims = corrosion.
salt + steel = rust.
wide[r] SUMMER tires + snow = not fun.

Have to? No. You may want to, however.

Thanks!!

Here is what it looks like with the wheels on and the car is actually clean. Lol.

These pics have the Altezza's on. Which do you like better? Stock or altezza's?

I change my wheels every winter. All that road salt will chew up the wheels if you leave it on there long enough. Also, 215/45/17 directional, soft compound, high performance tires SUCK in snow!!

Stock is much much better than the Altezza's, IMHO.

I am leaning that way too. The altezzas are just too ricey. If they were tinted or something maybe?

Maybe I'll try a set of the elegant tails if I can find a set cheap?

Elegant tails?

Tinting altezza's makes them look pretty cool, IIRC, but still not really my taste. I love my 3d tails, but since you have a first second gen, they wont work on yours...

These....and they are even tinted, but they are off an 04, so they won't fit mine or I would probably buy them. :banghead:

Those aren't too bad actually, especially tinted... have you considered going with an 03+ rear bumper?

dude... the link to glasswars tinted lights will fit your car... they are from his old '02, not his R/T. look above the pic it says '00-'02. He's selling them for $40, go for it if you want them. Currently I like the stock lights better than what you have. I just sold my Mopar 3Ds as well because I got tired of the look.

I agree with you, I didnt like my elegant tails on my car anymore, so i switched them out for my stock ones....And yes I also like the look of my stock wheels on my car than my 17" Bronzes.

I don't know why, it just fits together better for some reason. Hey, I will sell you my Elegant Tails and a new and unused can of nightshade tint spray if you want. That way you can get them as dark as you want them. And they are not as bad condition as glasswars' film tinted ones.
If you dont buy them, I might just go ahead and tint them to use myself. So it doesn't matter to me.

I think your car would look really nice with the 00-02 European tails. It would actually match with your PT Losers very well

I didnt bother with it because I though you would rather get something cheaper....But since the tails costed me $60 and the tint costed $25, I was gonna sell them for $70 plus shipping... I know, you rather go with glasswars'...but here are pics.
Image
These tails were only on my car for 1 month. And then I took them off to replace my stock ones and now they're sitting in a box in my closet.

Any chrome tails look like garbage on any car. The stock tails are the only tasteful way to go. You can get creative and tint them in various ways if you don't like the "stock" look.

I agree with the chrome - but there are nice black aftermarkets. I really love my LED taillights!
Tinting / nightshading is cheap - and so it looks.
