This was my friends car.. met him at the local meet over the summer.. This happened about 2 months ago but I finally remembered to post it up... considering how rare Motorsport R/T's are..

It was so funny having the same exact wheels, spoiler, etc at the meets. People would always ask where the "twin neons" were.

He was hit at the rear quarter panel, slid, and flipped several times. He came out okay, they never caught the person that hit him though.

Did he not know how rare an MS R/T is?!?!?!?! I wouldn't even mod it and would do like MoparMarc did and leave it pretty much completely stock.

Jerk.

Unfortunately he had no idea until I told him when I first met him. You should of seen the look on my face when he told me it was a MS R/T.

Moparmarc hasn't done ANYTHING to his car has he? I know he has a regular set of wheels he drives around on, then swaps the MSRT wheels on at shows (he had my stock wheels last I talked to him) but I thought everything else was bone stock?


That sucks about the car, glad your bud is OK tho...

I believe he's done a few little tiny things, nothing that can't be easily reversed without any harm to the car.

Wow that's terrible! The car did handle it very well though. What signified a Motosports edition? Did it have the tires like the Intrepids did?

Yes Cam, the motorsports editions had the raised yellow letters on the tires like the intrepids had. They are now not being made anymore which is why Marc has one set for driving and his stock set for shows.

yet another motorsport gone. i may not have had an R/T version. But it was still a motorsport. At least i still have the rims from it.

That sucks, but does this mean you will still have you R/T seats?

As everyone else said, im glad the only stuff that was lost was stuff that is easily replaced. glad your buddys ok

I didn't know they made a Motorsports edition of the R/T. Can someone enlighten me on what year they were made and how many?

I thought they were all non mags.. I guess not.

there's one in alameda. I think it was red also.
