I just do not have good luck with the damn lip kit here... the first front lip fell off, the sides won't stay on, the rear is pulling away...
And now this:
I am getting close to giving up and starting over with something else!

What is that? Take a picture further away for reference.

That is the front lip kit piece on the front bumper.

Did it separate or break off? I can't tell a damn thing with that picture.

You should open your eyes then...

it's the rib in the middle of the lip that cracked, and ripped paint off the bumper.

Maybe you should be more careful pulling in and out of driveways and/or stop hitting shit.

Well, that's no fun!

Yeah, Mopar's paint work is like Maaco on those lip kits. Mine was peeling before I even installed it.

It's not the lip that has the paint peeling (up front) it's the A/M bumper the body shop put on...

For now.
Now that your little nubby is cracked on the lip, she'll start peeling.

Why are your sideskirts falling off? Did you not install the plastic hooks that your are supposed to? Mine are very secure.

I can recall somewhere that you said you used double stick tape for your side skirts, and you didn't drill at all....go figure. lol

You knew that body shop was ghetto as all hell, they did some poor ass prep work if it's cracking like that. Still sucks that it happened though.

If it is falling off that means you didn't install it correctly noob lol.
Does your husband work on cars too?

Time to get out the DUCT TAPE before declaring total failure.

Originally that's how I did it, yes. Then I went back and redid the passenger side correctly when it fell off, and had the body shop redo the drivers side. Perhaps they didn't do it right, but there ARE screws in the bottom at least...

Upon further review last night.. the rib on the passenger side is busted too.

A mod AND driving failure too.
I see scrapes along the bottom... gotta stop hitting those curbs.
Hitting curbs = cracked 'n peeling front ends

That isn't from hitting curbs actually. My car sits low and it's very hard to not get out of some parking lots without scraping a bit.

go at it on an angle. you just have to get used to it, thats the way it is. i have to do that with my stock bumper, mind you the 02 r/t bumper is pretty low (but i'm putting lip on it soon so it'll be even lower), and i'm lowered on s-techs, but i almost never scrape, because i pay attention to what i'm doing. i would suggest you do the same.

I've had a lowered car for 4 years now, i know how to drive it, lol... some of the parking lots around here are so steep that even with an angle, it still happens!

by neon2ner
yes, it does still happen.
guess you gotta be EXTRA careful having the mopar lip kit, plus being lowered. or, just don't go into those select parking lots, extreme, but may be necessity if you don't want to keep breaking lips.

After I installed my lip kit, I had to resort to going in to the bank every time I went as opposed to the drive thru, because the angle of the driveway leaving would have completely obliterated the front lip. I actually rubbed a bit leaving before I had the front lip on - I could only imagine what it would do now.

Sucks, but oh well I guess.

I refuse to go without my Dunkin Donuts coffee every morning... that is the only way I can tolerate 10 hours of work!
