A happy day for Chrysler

Post by Kelevra » Mon Mar 16, 2009 12:35 am

Last week look what happened!

Image

Yep. My warrenty is up! 2 and 1/2 years and 30k miles after I bought her..

for those who don't know.. 3k miles ago I had a short block replaced (severe rod knock) output speed sensor, tq converter, front end trans oil pump, solenoid shift pack, clutch disks (ATX disks?) and some gears all replaced so about 1/2-2/3ds my entire drive train was replaced all under warrenty.

so Chrysler got :owned:

now they don't have to sweat it... lmao

Ah. I remember that day...it was so, so, so long ago. enjoy the miles to come while you got 'em. Oh, and you should bake your car a cake!

Put a 1 in front of that number and you've still got 15,000 less than me!

I crossed the factory 36K mile warranty a long time ago.

Still got 45K on the extended 100K warranty I bought with it tho! Hard to believe I bought the Mistress 4 years ago with only 6K on her...

Man I need to use my warranty! I bought the beast new in July 05 and I haven't even put 36K on her yet. I'll probably hit the 7 years before I hit 70K miles haha. Two mile commute to work FTW!

The only problem I've had is a cam sensor, which I replaced myself since I didn't feel like wasting my time going to a dealer for a $30 part. Other than that, this car has been super reliable.

Doesn't the short block part have a 12 month 12000 mile warranty, being an assembled factory part?
I know the complete engine assemblies had some kind of decent warranty, but what difference would it make for the bottom end. As long as a valve doesn't fall out, there is little that would affect the bottom end.
But that was old DCX, not the ? of what it is now/will become.
