What do you guys think about these taillights? Im going to make them this weekend. I will be using two different taillights to accomplish this look.

Huh, I kind of like it. As long as you can get the white part to light up only for reverse and not while you are driving then it will look nice.

I wan to use the white part for my blinker and the third brake light for my reverse.

I say that if you want SI tailights, you should buy a honda.

Ive been thinking about this for years. I have a set of all clear tail lights and a set of exports that both have a little damage. I wanted to cut the amber part off the export, and replace it with a piece of the clear tails.

*sigh* years have passed, and I still havent gotten around to it yet.

If you're gonna go through all that trouble, why not swap the clear lense to the export housing then spray the lower portion transparent red?

When I said "si" I meant the style because I like the combo of red and clear. I will woork on them this weekend.

Where did you get the exports from, It would be alot easier If I had a set of exports. Im going to use the altezaz for the in side and use the clear for the outside. The painting part is the last step. Im going to use tester red paint.

You make an interesting point. Might have to look at them a little closer.

Seriously, Ive had 3 sets of export tails for a number of years now. Got them all from someone in Germany.



Testors transparent red paint works well. I used it to paint the backup light portion of a set of US spec tails a few years ago.

i like it, but my neon is JDM so of course i would...
honda/dodge... we still 4 bangers.

Yes but it wouldn't work the way I want it to work. I want the clear part to be the blinker, so I need to separate the blinker from the brake.

This is a pretty neat idea. Do it man. I'm interested in how this turns out.

couldnt you just make some sort of seperator shit between the 2 sections? thats wat i had thought you were going to do. either way i wana see how they turn out. so hurry up and finish or
