Drove to Certifit today. Spent a total of nearly 6 hours straight inside my Neon... I'm effin beat. About to crash or something. Anyway, here's some pics. Gonna swap it out tomorrow so I can start selling parts. And as soon as I get some goods sold, the bumper is going to the shop to get painted. Buddy's going to find the guy with the Civic Lip tonight. Told him to let him know I'll buy it tonight if he has it.

Here's a shot of my buddy's Civic Hatch. B16 motor.. that's all I know. Haven't really asked him what he's done because, honestly, I don't care much lol. I have ridden in it and it's pretty fast for an N/A motor. Easily takes any of the Stock American Turbo cars (i.e., Chevy Cobalts, Dodge SRT-4, Saturn Redline).


Alright... I'm really effin tired. I'll take pics tomorrow of me swapping the front end. I know it's going to need paint, but I need money and I needa pull parts off before I can sell them. Plus I think I might've sold my XBox 360 to someone so that'll help.

Can't be a stock B16 cuz I know for sure a stock B16 swap or even close to stock won't beat an srt.

But anyhow can't wait to see the conversion.

Perhaps weight can play a slight factor? I don't know. His interior is completely stripped. One racing seat, and stock passenger seat.. that's it. I'll ask him and post back.

depends if theres weight reduction and so on...those ef hatchs are veryyyyyy light. it'll give the srt4 a run for the money, depending on mods of course

Ya, only weight reduction he has is the interior is completely gutted. No carpet (except where the front passengers sit), nothing in the back. And if you woulda told me to get you one, I would've lol.

Gonna try and sell locally, but yes. My front end setup will be up for sale once it comes off tomorrow. I've decided that the Mopar front lip will stay with the bumper no matter what. I know it's going to be hard to sell it that way since most don't need a new bumper, but I don't want to be left with a bumper with holes on the bottom and no lip. So, after the parts come off I will have: Black housing headlights, CF S-Style eyelids, 6000K Low Beam VVME HID kit, and the bumper with Mopar front lip and custom Mopar "M" badge (and by custom I mean I had to shave it since it was from showparts.net and made for the SRT-4 bumper. This badge sits perfectly flush with the '03+ bumper). If anyone does want the bumper, I'll throw in my stock side markers (keeping my smoked ones). And Mods, I'll create a For-Sale post once it becomes official with what parts are going to be sold.

I've been runnin on 3-4 hours of sleep since sunday. I was in California for a month for desert training, so my mind's like "omg computer, omg car, omg fast food, omg civilian clothes" lol...

vtec = poor man's boost.

A B16 swap will not beat and SRT-4 or Cobalt. They're 15 second cars. If he's got work that's a different story.

but no.... im with philly on that he would not take an srt4.

I do remember him saying he ran 11's or something at the track. I gotta ask what he's done. Maybe I misheard or something and it's not a B16 lol. But I'm certain that's what he has... he's shown me the motor before, but I have no clue what the different "B" engines look like... *shrugs*

Could be a B18 or B20.

ive seen n/a b16's run into 12's they where worked to shit

My gf had both a b16 and we just swapped over her to a b20. And she will only be doing like low 200hp. Which is alot of fun don't get me wrong but with simple mods a srt would stomp her.

That lip looks amazing for $31.

That civic looks like shit, and probably sounds like it too.

A B16A is 170hp
A B16B is 180-190hp

A B18C is 200hp

A K motor in a hatch is a different story. However it's not going to set the world on fire stock.

Again, this is all assuming the motor is stock and not worked. Even with it worked, it costs THOUSANDS of dollars to get into the 11's. Not saying it can't be done, but it's pricey NA.

Alright, so I asked the guy about his motor. It is a B16 and he says it's fully built (if you're gonna ask "what does he mean by "fully", I'm going to answer "umm *shrugs*" lol). Also, his track time was a 12.3 (and since Philly brought up about "lying" I'm going to try and see if I can see his time sheet or something).
