so i was sitting in the car on my break listening to music and all of a sudden white smoke starts billowing out of my hood... the first thing i thought was that my valve cover gasket was blown again so i popped the hood and found this...
that's the fuse holder for my amp that is mounted off of a 4 guage wire from my battery that goes back to the amp... my friend and i think that it is because the fuse is too big and since it didnt blow the wire just started to melt... we will never know however because the fuse itself is melted into the holder... guess that means i will be driving around quietly like every1 else until i take the time to fix it

Yeah, either the fuse was too big, or the connection wasn't tight enough. Loose connections don't make good contact and generate a lot of heat. Its like using too small of wire.
If the fuse was to large, I'd check to see what was causing the big power drain. You may have a short somewhere.
