(Thanks to Anthony for these shots! I barely even used my cam at Carlisle.)

I kinda forgot to post these shots until the other day, so yea, here they are. As I discovered at Carlisle, many people didn't even have any clue what my car looked like. This is the 2nd official time I have posted pics, for the record. Last time it looked a little different...

That's all for now. Let me know what you think! Stay tuned for a project log coming soon for the winter projects.

Looks good but you need wheel spacers like now. 10mm front and back. I run negative camber too.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

random: I have looked into them a bit. They might become part of my winter projects. Thanks for the input.

glass: Hell yea I'm lazy, plus she is down right now (clutch exploded) so I don't know if I'll be back out this year to take pics. Haha. Seriously though, thanks again for the sweet pics.

I love your car man! I don't know what else you can do to it this winter to make it better, since it's basically perfection as it is.

Haha, perfect...that is exactly the responses I am after! I choose components that I liked and that were 'different'. I like to break the mold a bit...which generally makes things harder on myself.

The engine itself is a non-SRT 2.4 w/ a 2.0 DOHC valve cover. That is why it looks different from that aspect. Adding to that is all the other custom stuff...intake manifold, intercooler piping, intake, etc. Hell, I even front mounted the alternator.

MyNeonSaysHi wrote:Mmmmmm so yummy! Ever get it dynod or do the 1/4 mile? What turbo you running? Motor built?
Thanks sir! It was on the dyno earlier this year, but it was a bad day...problem after problem. The hard rev cut was at 5000, the tune was rough, fuel pressure was too low, and a nasty vac leak. I didn't have any time to tweak so I had to go with it as is. With those issues it was making 220ish and climbing strong up to 5000.

After that trip I upped the fuel pressure, dialed in the tune a lot better, and bumped the rev cut to 7200. It was like a whole different car, as you can imagine. The intake manifold and cams really start to come alive above 5000 or so. I wanted to get back on the dyno this fall, but now I need a new clutch because I destroyed the current one. Erick and I are both confident that it is in the 300-325 range currently, which is confirmed by the Mopar Performance clutch saying no more. When he ran that clutch it decided to self-destruct in that range, too. I'll be snagging a new clutch, upping the boost (currently at 14), and doing some fine tuning to really get everything I can out of the current setup. My weak link was the clutch and now it will be fuel. Honestly when I am in the 350-400 range I think I will be happy.

No 1/4 miles times as of yet. I need to get a set of slicks or DRs, at the very least. I spin the hell out of my street tires.

Turbo is a Garrett T3/T4 .50 trim. The motor has all SRT internals. Hope I answered all your questions, but let me know if I didn't.
Fuzzyneon wrote:i thought you where srt swapped before carlisle(lol i was wrong)
Haha, nope. A non-SRT 2.4. I actually did the swap in the '06-'07 off-season and have been tweaking the setup since.

Awesome pics man, i remember when I was talking to you a couple months back about turbo stuff and brought up your car and you had said it was down for a while because you were fixing some stuff up on it, but everything turned out real nice, can't wait to see that project log....that is if you start it this winter like you say and stop being lazy :cussing:

i love the car, love what u did to the engine bay... the alternater in the front is truely bad ass! along with the valvecover.

only thing i dont like is the body kit... but i am not a body kit fan so that is just my opion.

Lion: Yea, I need to not be so lazy. Well, that and I am always super busy...esp. lately with the house, wedding, etc.

dt: I've been rocking this body kit through a number of phases on my car. I always decide to keep it and make it work with my theme because I still feel that this is the best kit you can buy for a Neon. It has enough going on to make a difference without being over the top. I certainly respect your opinion on that, though...and thanks for the other compliments!

Ahhh gotcha, I thought it was an SRT-4 motor. Yeah you should be in the 300's easily...

Beautiful ride.
