so umm might end up repainting the rims too much blackish stains on the rims. so after i strip as much paint of the rims what color should i repaint or just get black glossy coat on them?
or should i keep on working and take all the old paint off?

Maybe try aircraft stripper, that stuff is supposed to melt paint right off. Don't know if it will hurt the original finish though.

I say after the aircraft stripper you should get a polish/buffing compound and buff them..that might help bring the "shine" back after the paint...worked on a friends rims..

They should look like SRT-4 wheels, because they are the ones they used on the prototype. They are TSW VX1
