New front, need help with Grille. PS content

Alright, I recently got rid of my SRT bumpers, and after swapping this new front end on, I'm done with the SRT hood, too. Don't ask me if I'm selling, it's already spoken for. Also, the projectors were hella cheap, so I got them to get lights in and get the car done, so I'm saving for raccoons or black projectors.
Anyway, I don't have a grille right now. I really wanna pick up a Chrysler grille, and I'd probably take a Dodge one, but that's for another date, too. Right now, I'm coming into like...just the edge of the grille, where it bolts up. Think of the crosshairs being cut from an SRT bumper, only to a Dodge grille. I'm going to try to mount up some honeycomb or something, and just keep it clean. Then it hit me...I could make my own badge for it! Let me know what you think, ideas, etc...
How it sets now:
Badge I want to make (crap PS):

no. haha.
but seriously, it might look good a little bit smaller and off to one side? As is, it just reminds me of a 94-98 mustang with the running mustang in the middle. Maybe mount some non ghetto mesh and put the neon emblem on it off to the right side? just an idea.
PS that bumper came out looking awesome man! love it.
Oh, and your hood looks like it needs to be aligned.
done nit-picking now.

I like the idea. Definately choose wisely on your mesh. I've seen a lot of people over on audiforums use a stretchable metal mesh from Home Depot, painted matte black. Comes out pretty good. Just an idea. If you do plan on going with a real grille - I suggest the Dodge one, even though I know everyone else will say Chrysler.

Thanks guys. I didn't really pay much attention to size. I'd like it smaller, and I was thinking closer to the driver side, and about centered height-wise.
This might sound dumb, but how can I align this hood? I wanna bring the passenger side down.

The big plaster stopper screws on the cross-member(whatever it's called) they're right above the headlights.

Nope, those haven't done jack for hood adjustment.
I want a legitimate honeycomb, similar to that of the '03 grill inserts.

Hire a fat chick to sit on your hood. lol
Anyways, I hope the emblem isn't going to be pink like in the PS. lol
If you're pulling the emblem off a first gen, then the emblem would definitely be smaller than the size in the PS pic. And I think it would look pretty good if it's closer to the driver side.

^^ Shouldn't you be in class? Ha hah I keed I keed.
Yeah, it was quickly thrown together, and no, it wont be pink. I was honestly looking for the ones that are like...multicolored, but I couldn't find one.
Yup, size and color I didn't mess with much, it was a 5 minute chop. I might explore the JY today and start mocking things up. This way, I can keep an "OEM" grille, but it's really not. haha

What's wrong with pink?
Seriously though I wouldn't make it as large as that, and figure out what is going on with your hood.

HELP!
Lol I'm gonna have my body guy mess with the hood. I've adjusted the things I know how to adjust, and it still sets that way. The SRT hood was waaay worse, but still had that passenger side problem.

i don't like the neon thing in the grill, but otherwise the car looks great, i actual like the way the civic lip matches the srt skirts

legit honey comb may be able to be sourced from a Dodge Ram. It'd prob be big and flat enough to be cut to fit. Either from a JY or something like this:
And some 1gn neon badges:

Paint the mesh black, leave the letters or do them red and it'd look cool I think.
As for the hood, I thought you could align it at the rear where you bolt it on? no?

I think the OEM Dodge Grille looks the best on a silver. I say go that route.

i like the 1gn neon logo, but the 2gn neon logo would be better IMO whether its off centered of not

Yup.
Ryan, thanks for the link!
James, that's exactly what my starting point is. I've got the grille with the crosshairs cut out, now I'm finding mesh and eventually mocking up the badge.

Bumper looks crooked. I'm not sure. It may be me. Did you buy the low down a bit? Heh

I dont have photoshop anymore, so I was messing around in MS paint. I couldnt get it to look right, but a mesh grill with the neon in the lower corner should look pretty good.

Mat - That's what I'm thinking. With legitimate honeycomb/mesh and the right mounting place, it should look good.
Steven - Go. Nao. To sleep.

^ thanks man. That's way better than I could do, and I've got Photoshop Elements 8. Haha.
That's pretty much what I'm planning. The mesh will be black, and probably not chicken wire. And I'll use any Neon emblem probably. I just think the 1st gen ones would at to the neat-o factor.
