Oh well, shit happens.

What's your budget on a new car? I see several good candidates on the boards for under 6 or 7K...

I would personally stay away from for sale posts by someone who has 1 post.

I dislike the fact that someone can sign up for a forum to sell their car and never come back. I prefer to buy a car from a dealership if I can, or if I go to a private seller, someone I know, or who knows someone else I know, etc...

It maybe an unreported wreck repair, or something. Who knows but it seems shady for sure. Maybe check it out IN PERSON, it is a good price.

I don't think that $8700 is a low price for a car with 87,000 miles..

1 dollar for every thousand miles? Seems fair...

He's also got it for sale on SRTforums. Only over here to get more coverage.

There's also a swapped 00 Neon on SRTforums for $7k in NY. Looks pretty sick too.

That's a dirt cheap price, buuuuut, I would avoid that car like the plaque. It's got little kid stickers all over it (seriously, a hand flipping the bird on the front fender), which means that there's a 99% chance that someone under 20 owns it. That being said, about 85% of owners that young (that I've met) have absolutely no idea how to care for their cars, and generally beat the living crap out of them.

Don't do it.

 Even MORE fair that way!

Your insurance on an SRT will be higher now that you totaled out a vehicle, so that $240 will go up. If it had been a minor accident it would probably have stayed at that $240, but because you totaled a car it will raise it.

Acura RSX and Toyota Celica prices are down, if you're into that sort of thing.

ok i got a question for anyone who has done this..

how hard is it to change the radiator core support frame ??

by TheRandom1
If I'm not mistaken... you drill out the spot welds and have to weld a new one in.

After making sure your measurements are correct a few times, double checking against everything else, making sure your frame is straight, etc etc etc etc...

Basically, if you can weld, you can do it. I wouldn't do it if you aren't an experienced welder, however.
