The thing here is, he's paying for this SRT outright, he says. So if that's the case, will it in fact help him with a lower insurance rate?

Also, that SRT you posted, says $11,500 FIRM. I don't think you'll get him down to $10k, let alone 9. Especially since you'd be traveling a bit. He knows someone local would grab it for damn near asking price.

That's not bad considering what has happened. But it is high, and needs to be expected.

240 a month with 2 at fault incidents in the past few months isn't bad at all.

Also if your car is totalled, try to get as much as a down payment possible for the SRT-4. Atleast half of the price would be good, if not more...
No car payments FTW!

That's Canadian dollars though... meaning it's about 50 bucks for yours, and 42 for hers!

That's hard to come by.

Not the stock part.

But for the fact that it could have been converted BACK to stock from being run into the ground with aftermarket stuff.

well the car is being towed tomorrow to a shop in town and then by monday afternoon i should know whats up with it. so ill keep yall posted..

worst case scenario...if it turns out to be totaled.. should i try to buy it back and then part it out.. cause i mean that engine does have 2 week old oem pistons and rods and new gaskets.. i would be loosing my rims etc..

If it's cheap enough and they total it, buy it back and part it out. If you can get it really cheap AND make your money back off of it (and thensome) it's worth it.

going alittle OT here:

If the insurance totals a car, and u buy it back, how much do u spend?? Sorry for the Noobness

Posted: Sun Dec 13, 2009 9:57 am
by LilSparkPlug
That's a number the insurance company comes up with based on the car, it's damage, it's value, etc.
