My car hates me...

I always take 1 step forward and it seems like it takes me 2 steps back somewhere else.
Prime recent example:
Fix transmission.... slave cylinder starts leaking and clutch slipping
So today it's a rainy day and I'm bored... I decide I am tired of looking at my nasty end tanks on the fmic, so I went to the store and got some never dull.
I get home and pull in the garage maybe half way and decide that if I put it on the ramps that it'd be easier to work on...as the front end would be in the air. Good deal, so I jump out and put the ramps out and go back to my door and it's locked...cars running, half way in my garage and I have no spare key
So I get a screw driver and a shop rag to try and protect my paint where I pry and I get a hanger in it just enough to hit the window down button and get in. YAY! Saved myself the expensive locksmith bill. After I put it on the ramps and look at the "damage"... I go
I guess I was in too much of a rush and I made a little dent and scratched the paint. I slapped some touch up paint on it and you can't see it from 5-10ft but up close at certain angles it looks nasty.
The nasty angle
FML...
On to the fmic..
I took 800 grit / 1000 and 1500 to it...probably less than 5 minutes as I was pretty pissed about the dent and just wanted to go mope in the house... if I wanted to spend more time with it, I'm sure I could have the end tanks BLINGING...but being lazy like I am, I was content with just semi-polished and clean.
No where near blinging like I said but a lot better.
I was debating on doing the fmic black and the end tanks like they are... but eh, I'm in the middle on that.

Looks like the SRT just got back from the dentist!

Wow, I know what you mean about that kind of "Murphy's Law" thing as it always seems to happen to me as well.

Lesson learned? Go get a spare made

I have 4 keys for the xB and I'm damn happy about it.
Are you going to worry about getting it fixed some day, or just saying fuck it?

That's the kind of thing that, even though probably no one else would ever notice, I would see it every time I looked at the car since I did it. Yeah, I would be anal enough to have it fixed.

not sure how expensive they are but I'm gonna get one soon...lol.
I will get it fixed... eventually.
I have maybe 2-3 other tiny dings in the body that I want fixed as well. I'm guessing a paintless dent remover can get most of them fixed. Probably wait until I move back home to Houston in a year as theres 100000000 body shops and they all compete rather than here with a couple...lol.
As of right now... in the words of Ricky Bobby... I wanna go fast..
The little stuff doesn't bother me.... that much. Even though I'm still
I just did a shitty chop of the black fmic and front emblem...I think with some black housing headlights and tinted fogs it'll look good.

Yes if you had other "black" stuff in the front end that would look awesome.

Fog surrounds would match it in black I think.

Get one made at any hardware store.
Thats what I did.
That way it will still unlock all the locks, just won't start the car for more then 3 seconds.

I've been meaning to search for some cheap fog light inserts...it's just shit keeps happening to hinder me from spending little money here and there.
I've literally spent $3000 in the past week on this new house... (washer/dryer, new bed room set and misc shit here and there)
It sucks but it's cool at the same time.

Lamin-x tint overlays.

Revolution Motosports sells them, so does Ebay and Lamin-x's website. $10 or so. I run the dark smoke ones on Lucius.

Your best bet for those is someone with a wrecked car parting out. I've seen them on Ebay a few times. The CBD ones stick onto the stock ones so those won't help much either. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

This is why I always roll down the driver window when I'm getting out of my car and it's running.
I went through a phase were it seemed like everytime I got out of the car I pegged the lock button some how.

I USUALLY do... seriously, everytime I hop out I usually hit the window... but I didn't even mean for the door to shut, lol....oh well, live and learn.
Getting a key made or 2 made tonight....still wish I could find the fog light surrounds for super cheap.

My buddy locked his keys in his car while running at school once. Took a couple hours for his parents to get there with keys. Wasted a little gas lol.
And yea john, 2 spare keys just to unlock for ~$8 is way better then one chrysler programmed key for like ~$80.

i have the one that just unlocks it under the car to, nothing worth stealing inside

Keep your eyes open for anyone parting an SRT that's how I scored mine. A kid was parting one out on SRTForums so I PM'd him asking how much for the fog surrounds and nostrils expecting an astronomical price.
He replied. $50 shipped.

You better believe they're on my car right now.

I just picked up a pair of fog surrounds for $50 shipped.
CM, I looked for that smoked fog light cover stuff and didn't see much on ebay...still looking. I saw RM had some but it was just smoke not dark smoked or whatever you said
With HIDs, I'm not gonna use my fogs much... I'm debating on just night shading them.

For the dents the dent remover tool works nicely and I just got one dent on the rear fender pulled out with it. Spare key is a necessary for sure.

The dent remover tool?
Care to elaborate?

This thing. It uses glue and pulling nibs to pull the dent out. Since my fender is a large sheet of metal so the dent is pulled out easily. But be aware that if the surface is not with the original paint, the paint will be pulled off eventually.

Did you check Lamin-x's website? The one on RM is the dark smoke not the light. I'll PM you a comparison.
