since i woke up at 6am (damn yes i know its really early lol) i decided to do my oil change and transmission flush before it got to hot outside (since in las vegas it is above 100degrees) during the mid-afternoon.

it didn't get to hot out so i decided to paint my CROSSHAIRS on my SRT-4 (since i previously black'd out the stock intercooler)

what do you all think of them? opinions please.

(don't mind the head in the passenger seat. my gf is in there lol)

Midnight_Rider - lol yeah i seen what happens when people use paint. it doesn't turn out so great. lol. well, i'm actually a noob when it comes to paint but because i'm a perfectionist, i like everything to be precise. thanks

MyNeonSaysHi - really? the hood now is carbon fiber. maybe the stock hood would look good too. only thing is i dont have one. thanks for checkin it out though.

I don't know... For me, the whole thing is what he has done is so subtle, it almost looks OEM. A red hood, naw. Just my worthless opinion.

I actually agree with that. That would look sick.

I give it 2 thumbs up. Subtle but bold. And I love anything Red. Plus my high school colors were Red and Black, so it is a win win win win IMHO.

I've never seen stripes painted on a carbon fiber hood. Another alternative would be to paint the sides of the hood with the body color, and leave only the raised
"power bulge" in carbon fiber. I liked the one car I saw painted that way. Maybe you can get someone to PhotoShop that.

Chris, I actually like that and on the white ones I've seen it done on I didn't. I think it's because your hood is CF, if it wasn't it would look funny IMO.

LilSparkPlug - thanks for checking it out. i only see the white nSRT4 with the evoX look here in town. it doesn't look bad. just "not my cup of tea" lol. i know what you mean. if my hood was stock and not CF i wouldn't have painted the crosshairs. keep it all stock.

It looks good! I love it when they're painted instead of getting cut out. When they're cut out, it looks so bad.

Tam - thanks dude. yeah that's true. i'd (possibly) cut my crosshairs only if i had a BFMIC. since i don't i just blacked out everything.

on some SRT's the cut out cross hairs do look good and some are horrible. so i guess, to each their own.

We've had locals do stuff like that which didn't turn out all that great or they tried to hard to look like an Evo.

Yours turn out pretty good looking in the pictures.
