Refinance that thing. You could get a personal loan for that, at much less interest, unless your credit is shit. (But we don't really need to know your personal credit info.) Just saying, if it was me, and I had that option, it would be payed with a lower interest loan. It is what I did a while back, when looking to get laid off, and I still owed $2500 on my Cherokee. Basically paid it off with my CC. (4% 1 year promotion. Lowered the interest per month from $63 to $12. It was like getting $51 off the total per month for free.)

Minimum payments on that, if needed, would keep the repo man away. Not that the CC company could repo it, but that possibility was now gone. Fortunately it never happened, but I wasn't risking it, after paying $20,000 to lose it for 10% of that.

My credit score is currently in the 550's. I cannot get a loan or I would have done so already. In reality, what seems most likely to happen is I'll get a loan from my friend. My loan matures from the finance company in December, and I'll owe 2400 dollars still. I'll get a loan from him for that amount and pay the car off. Then I'll work on paying him off before anything else.
