My beater was feeling photogenic today...

Post by logikfive » Sun Mar 20, 2011 4:53 pm

Washed it up, waxed it, polished it and somewhat detailed the interior. Once the weather is around 80* I will pull the entire interior out and remove the carpeting for a more thorough cleaning. It's got a lot of caked in dirt and *gag* food (Cap'n Crunch doesn't look so appealing after sitting in there for a few years?? -- Thank you previous owners...)

It still needs a buff incredibly bad, but to put it right to the point, I'm lazy.

Anyway, enjoy..

Everyone says that. I prefer them all on one ring so when I'm pulling my other vehicles in the driveway at night I don't have to keep running in/out of the house to get keys.

I do have plans to lower it a little bit, but it might end up biting me in the ass. I already scrape the front lip if I'm not careful pulling into my driveway.

This is what I plan to do with mine.. Only difference between this and mine will be I'll never get rid of my fog lights, 5% tint on all side/rear windows, I'm keeping the spoiler, and I won't be running an additional lip on the front bumper. Body color mirrors FTW!

Looks good, especially for being called a beater. I try not to call mine that, even though it's essentially what it is, keeps my truck off the road.

Is it me or is your front bumper paint not matching the rest of the car? It could be just the way the lighting is, but it seems off.

Also, what's up with the Chrysler airbag? It is a US car judging by everything else no?

Haha, yeah. I call it a beater but I don't treat it like one. :P

Anyway, the paint color is off on both the front and rear bumpers. I will be getting atleast the front fixed over the summer sometime. Not sure if I want to spend the coin to convert the rear to the SRT4 bumper. Previous owner must have had them repainted due to fade, and they didn't blend into the fenders/hood.

Airbag I bought from my local junkyard, I'm right next to Canada, so someone drove a Canadian car into the states and got into a wreck with it. Atleast, that's what I assume. It was a 2001, otherwise I would have had the grille as well.

Why does everyone want my seats?

Is it because the previous owner was a chick? She was so hot I sniffed the seat bottoms.

I can't speak for anyone else but my reason for having a Jones for those seats is that my original plan for my SRT was to swap in a full-leather R/T interior (especially with those adjustable rear headrests  ).

I find the rear headrests to be kind of a nuisance, considering the two times I've had to fold the rear seat down since I bought the car (what can I say I make it work...) the dang things force me to adjust my front seats forward to clear the headrests, otherwise I can't put the seat down without feeling like I'm going to rip the headrests off.

My next Neon will definitely be a SRT4. Hopefully I'll still have this one and do what you mentioned, swapping the R/T leather to the SRT. :)
