its safe. Ive been to the track 3 times with these wheels, and have been dd it like this for around a month. No rubbing issues at all.Haganracing wrote:Wow, its just a neon man... I'd rather be safe then sorry..
only rubbing issues are that i cannot run inner wheel weights on the rim, they have to be stick on. ( the ones that attach to the lip rub the trailing arm lol)

chris, we could always hook your neon up to my craftsman lawnmower and we could pull you down the road. Probably would be close to the same speed as your previous motor

tires are 195/60/15inthewerks wrote:What wheel and tire combo are you running? Just curious as this will help people when deciding what combo to run themselves. BTW, I love the fact you are taking it to the extreme. Thats the way it should be lol.
thanks
their gold, but they're actually not mustard color like they are in my signature. ( it was ps'd and the colors were edited a little.)
They are actually bright gold

no Scary is when your friend decides to put on 3g worth of brakes and coilover parts the day before a 2k mile road trip. the helper springs colapsed 100miles into the trip and he forgot to bring his jack. we ended up rolling his fenders with a screwdriver on I95 at 2am to stop the tires from shreading.

Ive had some close calls with tires rubbing. like when i slammed my friends neon on megan coilovers. he's on 18's and i had the coils as low as they would go. ( car basically dragging lol) and it rubbed like a mother. almost blew a hole in the front driver side tire because the adjustment nuts were rubbing the tire .
