Always wondered what that color was called lol my older brother in florida has an 03 that color lol wrapped it up in a barb wire fence though lol

CG was a 00-02 color, but in 01 they actually changed the paint color and it was a bit lighter even though it was still called CG.

the gold color on 03+ was (i believe) light almond pearl. champagne is an EXTREMELY rare 1st gen color (only available in 98-99 on plymouth neons equipped with the style package).

Yep, the light almond was available on 02 and up.

I secretly still want a CG. I was supposed to get one, but got shafted with the R/T only coming in PR4 and other normal colors (oops did i say that out loud?!)

I love my CG neon.


Actually the CG color was only for the years 00 and 01, and which they made it lighter for 02 and called it Light Almond Pearl (I believe). I have an 01 and it isn't lighter then an 00.

damn, howd i miss this thread?.. lol, heres a few of mine.. i actually HATED the color when i first brought the car home.. bought it used and 12k miles was the main deciding factor of buying it. now i couldnt imagine driving any other color neon......

thats not CG.. 02 is the lighter almond.. close enough though..

oh well...CG, almond...at least im not calling it 'gold' the way the dealership is hahaha

BTW...that paint code chart, For steel blue it says 2002 only, but my other one is an 01 and it was steel blue originally oh well... lol, a color is a color and it doenst matter that much...ill change my sig now haha

well its an ATX (yeah..dont say it but its what i specifically wanted), its got about 72k miles on it...alot of miles,but runs quiet and good. The body is in very good shape and so is the interior. Sure its not perfect, but no car is....got a great deal on it though, just a tad over 3k

Believe it or not, its a big difference from driving the blue one, but I know its because of the suspension, bigger wheels, tires, and motor mounts stuff like that on the blue one....either way Im definetly happy w/ it. worth searching 6+ months for

HAHA well first it was a search for a 2gn..then a civic hatch...then back to my roots for a 2gn (prefered colors white, another steel blue, or CG, or close to it ) Light almond just happened to be the color of the one I found and liked the most...in the best shape and w/ black interior
