Dante has one in his ACR... I think it was from the Mexican market. PM him.

Yep. It's the same one in my car.
It is a Mexican market non-airbag steering wheel cover.

is it possible to put that cover on a steering wheel with an air bag??

by Danteneon
Nope. That cover dosn't have the mounting provisions nor the special breakaway in the material needed for an airbag.

this is an SRT of mexico, air bags were optional here, at a higher price
most of the neon in Mexico, do not have airbags, and no ABS
crazy no?
the only models available were airbags, LX, RT and SRT in all was an optional extra money.....
by the way .... is fun to drive on a track day without ABS

That's too bad- it is much better looking than the airbag/badge ones we have. Of course, I wish that DCX had gone ahead with the Viper-inspired one that was on the 2003 SRT prototype (with the cruise, of course).

My Stratus R/T had that wheel although it did have an airbag in it.

IIRC, the Stratus cover and the Neon cover were slightly different in shape near the spokes. Enough so that they didn't interchange, although I can't recall if anyone tried it or not.

I don't want to find out if my Stratus SE has the airbag in there

Probably should've specified mine was a coupe. The 03-04 coupes look similar to the 03+ SRT-4 wheel and the SXT wheel only they're leather:
The 01/02 (also leather) reminds me of what you have Dante:

The coupe wheel does look a lot like the pad I have.
Then again, mine doesn't have that pesky "SRS" logo either

the stratus airbag will fit on the wheel. I have one I swapped a 2nd gen wheel in a 1st gen neon. while at the salvage yard that was the only airbag they had that was good and fit the wheel

Excellent! Now we know. I was looking at the wheels in the junkyard one day saying to myself I really dig this and it looks like it would fit.

Exactly.. I played around with one last weekend and it bolted in fine but the edges kinda stuck out a bit..
