I know, I know... and the owner would have had to have his title handy. I just thought that it would have been funny to have you just show up and take the car off his hands- he was probably frustrated enough to part with it on the spot!

Car looks good as usual, Gramps.

I'm picking up another one tomorrow. 99 blue atx coupe.
I think 5 of my last 8 Neons have been intense blue. 3 R/T coupes, dohc atx sedan, and now a sohc atx coupe with blown engine. I'm not even a huge fan of the color but I guess it's growing on me.
Now where to find a running SOHC. Hey look, a smashed up 2000 Neon that runs!

Thanks! Good thing that the camera didn't pick up the bugs and dust accumulated during the 8+ hour drive there!

Wow, what a car! I'm glad that you wife hasn't started making suggestions for mods for my car!

Oh wow, did I introduce myself to you? I really need to work on that; now that everyone has started posting identifications, I'm starting to think that I really should have concentrated more on getting to know everyones' names.

Talking to people as opposed to
introducing myself- two different things. I tried to talk with everyone but I still don't know names (online and actual) since I didn't take the time for introductions. Next time, I think that I'll have people stand next to their cars while I take pictures and make a written list of names while I'm doing that.

It was a great meet and I'm glad that I went!

I introduced myself to you right away and you looked at my semi-dirty hand and turned down the handshake. Silly clean people.

Oh yeah, don't tell them that your hand was covered in grease from Skitlz's car!

The whole handshake thing was a knee-jerk reaction on my part- sorry about that.
True story- back in the early 80's, I was at Fan Fair in Nashville. After standing in line at the fairgrounds in the hot sun from 8 a.m. until about 2:30 p.m., I finally got to get George Strait's autograph. After signing my CD booklet, he extended his hand and I said, "Aw, you don't want to do that- I'm pretty sweaty." His face looked about the same as chipdogg's did. I'm such an idiot sometimes.
EDIT since I misspelled Skiltz's name.

I see we have different definitions of "covered in grease". To me, my hands were hardly even dirty!
I remember one time my buddy and I spent the entire day in the junkyard pulling like 4 2.4's ($80 each that day so we made it worth the trip). When we left our arms were black up to our shoulders. We stopped at White Castle and washed our hands thoroughly. None of the black came off but it was anit-bacterial soap. While in line some lady mentioned to us that we were filthy. I responded "It's clean dirt" and licked my hand.

Okay, okay, I'm guilty!

Next time, I'll be sure to have a can of Goop handy.

I read about some guy from Indy planning to attend.....if I had known it was you, Gramps, I would have driven out. I've know Chip for quite a few years now. He even visited me here in PA for a few hours several years ago.

Yeah I visited you way up in the mountains. You owe me a visit to the sticks. I won't let you sleep in your car though.

Yup, I showed up and have retroactively provided mucho entertainment with my faux pas of being reluctant to shake hands.

You should have been there, you would have been in good company.

chipdogg was a great host- you should plan to drive out for his next meet!

I know Gramps pretty well and I'm surprised he didn't turn around and immediately head home after checking out your place for a few minutes.......
He must be mellowing out in his old age.........
