Wanted to share this with you guys.
So, I decided to do a real quick story on the crap my car's been through and where it is right now lol. Wanted to share this with you guys.
This was back when I first got in (1/8/12)
Only paid $500 for it and the only real problem was...
Girl was rear ended at a red light.
Did what I could to clean her up...made a few mistakes along the way hahaha
And that brings me to the real reason I made this thread...
I put my big boy pants on and made a HUGE decision to change her (Nina) completely and, now that I'm done... I'm glad I did.
Thanks to Zach (sxxxt) for the lip kit and rear bumper and such lol
Also thanks to my two bestfriends Amit (03_SXT) and Joe (mulishaneon33) for the amazing help and pointers. Oh, and keeping me sane and my nerves at ease during this process
Whaddya think?
Yes, that is plastidip and yes I plan on keeping the matte finish. At least for now. There are a few flaws in the body of the car but, for the most part...it's perfect! I fell back in all kinds of love with my car tonight haha

Looks damn good man, The only thing I would do is try to paint black the part of the bumper that is showing in the opening of the lip. But other than that it's pretty nice. Also you may have helped me with my decision on plastidipping my car in the near future.

Glad to have helped! lol
As far as the bumper... I thought about that once everything was done
and put together last night but, the way that lip is on there (nice and secure),
I'm afraid to take it back off and go through the hell of getting it back on lol.

I was starting to second guess myself, if I REALLY wanted white or to go a dif colour. After seeing this I'm definitely sticking with white.
I don't know if we should park together or far away at Carlisle now
Like I said on FB, NICE!

Personally, I think you'll have a much easier go at it than I did with the white. It was extremely difficult to cover the blue with it. Probably because I went the rattle can route. I'm actually going to order a gallon or two of the white and the sprayer they sale on dipyourcar.com and go over it again.
MyNeonSaysHi wrote:Damn that looks good! Try and get some quality day shots. I like what you did with the black on the front, very unique.
Thanks man! You're the first person to say that. So far, all I've heard was "personally I don't like it" or "not really a fan of it" but, that's cool. I posted it for opinions so, I'm okay with that. I took a ton of pics today, I'll be sure to post them later. These were taken last night right after it was finished lol

20 cans and they're blue. I ran out of cans. Gonna buy a sprayer from Home Depot and a gallon of dip and go over the whole car

isn't it like $10 a can? If so wouldn't it hve been easier / the same price to get the "kit" from the beginning?dvon17 wrote:20 cans and they're blue. I ran out of cans. Gonna buy a sprayer from Home Depot and a gallon of dip and go over the whole car

I paid $174 for the cans, the pre dip spray and 3 of the red nozzles that are SUPPOSED to be better (but weren't).
I'd have paid about $250-$300 for the kit. I guess now, it probably would have been a better idea to get the sprayer

no sweat Gramps. Thanks a lot.
So far, it's still holding up pretty well! Especially with the rain we've had over the last 4 days! haha. Have a few spots that need to be touched up but, not too bad. Just gonna have to keep a few extra cans in the trunk! lol

I'm probably gonna end up glossifying it before Carlisle. That's a long way to drive and a lot of bugs and stuff to wash off lol. It's not that easy to clean and I'm sure the glossifier will help a lot.

Never seen a 03-05 front done like that. I like it a lot. Nice job.

IMO I think the plasti dip would look better if you only did the lower grills. The cross hairs should have been kept white. Other than that, an amazing transformation! The car looks much better.
