UK Neon R/T, RHD One Year In Making, NICEST NEON IN EUROPE?
As the title says took me one year to get to this point, I have been on the forum for a few years and these are the FIRST proper pictures of my car.
Some more "unique" work has still to be done. A lot of unique stuff/parts have been installed so try and see if you can spot them.
The car is getting garaged very soon in order to get it boosted (Europe's first turbo r/t? SOHC?). Will feel good to finally make use of the ASP manifold.
I will list everything in my (very old) project log, including before during and after pics so add it to your watched topics now if you soon want to see a boosted RHD Neon :
viewtopic.php?t=57666&highlight=hgill12
So I know why you guys are here.....
P.s You will also see my cousins Matte Black Celica, BMW 540 and Twin Turbo MK4 Supra.

Thank you for the compliments gentlemen.
I still have the stock coil so shouldn't be a problem when the MSD poops out.
Gramps, this is the best I have at the moment:
Keep forgetting that you guys across the pond would be interested to see the inside.
But because I'm so cool I will get more pics for you tomorrow
Dante: Thanks, To be honest I really don't care about how the engine looks hence why the colour [British English spelling] scheme is ....well there is no colour scheme. Although I like the idea of a clean engine bay the closest it will get to "clean" is when the shiny charged piping will be in there when the car is boosted. Still the cleanest European Neon I've seen though (that's my opinion, I'm sure you guys have some great Neons out there).
Nerox: Yep, you know it. You know how expensive parts are for us, to put it into perspective that hood cost over $1200. Everything is expensive. In fact I could have purchased the car years ago but held off due to the cost of insurance for new, young drivers. But last year I bit the bullet and just paid.... wait for it.... £3000 which is about $4700 lol Which is worth way way way more than the car. Call me crazy but it was worth it for every look, head turn, question and overall admiration that people give me on a daily basis. Neons are hyper rare here and a (properly) modified Neon is unheard of.

yep I know the problem with prices all too well, the main problem is the shipping, oh and then the 20% tax.
it makes most things like body kits and bonnets (hoods) almost cheaper to have custom made.
by the way are those projector lights RHD ones or are you cheekily blinding oncomers?

They have been adjusted so the right sits a fair bit lower than the left. They pass the M.O.T (inspection) fine. I have drove by my own car and it didn't cause any abnormal glare. I had to rewire the projectors myself as they have different pigtails from UK lights. However being an undergraduate Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, that was not an issue.

The dash shot is nice. I hadn't thought of DCX not swapping the controls of the radio for RHD (the volume is on the left but should be on the right for RHD, kind of like the radio in the Holden Monaro that was exported to the US as the Pontiac GTO- same thing). What I would like to see are your seats, especially the rear headrests (I'm kind of strange about those adjustable headrests ).haseebgill12 wrote:Keep forgetting that you guys across the pond would be interested to see the inside.

LOLS at all this stuff.haseebgill12 wrote:lol, now now children settle down.
Wow, thanks so much for the interior pics- so cushy and luxurious. Dang, I wish that I had that interior for my SRT. Does the middle rear headrest make for a big blindspot?haseebgill12 wrote:Back on topic, Gramps I got these just after work today...

Thanks for the compliments guys, great to see my hard work is appreciated .
Gramps- You're welcome, I guess I don't appreciate the interior as much as I should lol.
It doesn't portrude as much as you would think, infact the main headrests create a much larger "blind spot", although they have never posed an issue. Infact I hadn't even noticed that they caused that until you made me check lol.

I guess that I shouldn't have said anything then. Yes, you're lucky to have the leather option as it is very rare here.haseebgill12 wrote:It doesn't portrude as much as you would think, infact the main headrests create a much larger "blind spot", although they have never posed an issue.
