00 Plymouth LX clearly been mistreated its whole life. Got body work quote this morning and made a down payment. Needs tires, struts, and wheel bearing. I'll probably lower it and swap for a black interior instead of tan. 146 k on the clock, timing and water pump changed at 144k

The whole car looks like some huge old nasty woman owned it. The interior probably can't be saved, the exterior has dings and dents everywhere like they ran into whatever looked like fun. It does need some TLC but its not as horrible as it looks. A good wash and some paint will take care of most of it. The rust/dent on the left rear door is my biggest worry

I've had really good luck with finding good doors on car-part.com

I had a rust issue at the lower seam on my RF door and picked up a color matching one in great condition for $100 locally because of that site. It was easier just to swap it than do the repair work

We've got a LR gray door locally for $80 with no rust here locally for instance.

Not sure one really wants to find out what may be under there.

Gawd, even the steering wheel was in obvious pain. :runaway:

i notice that a lot too on JY steering wheels with leather. its like every owner feels the need to wrench on the steering wheel cover so it wrinkles up and looks like smack ass...

Yeah there's no saving most of this interior so I'm just going to swap it. as for that poor poor steering wheel there's a local place that does all the wood grain and custom steering wheels for the jags and he said for 40$ he would remove the leather and replace the upper and lower with a composite and wrap the center with new leather. Like this

I actually showed him this pic and he said he made these steering wheels for the gtx trucks

Well I traded my coupe for it, got hit by another deer and it was getting a nasty rod knock. Not to mention it was burning antifreeze at about half gallon a month.

I happen to be good friends with the family who owns the steering wheel factory and I have a bit of an in. As far as the body is I was only quoted $380 to fix the issues. I'm hoping to have it done by may and in primer

Wow, it is kind of shocking what some people do to cars. Glad to see you saving it.
