Thats crazy....if we had snow like that here, theyd shut down everything

TG for nice sunny, windy days :D I thought you had a body kit? do you take it all off for winter?

Haha... okay we have nothing to compare to that... we have a few inches last night but it's sorta melted away now so you can see grass. Snow was kewl back in December when it was Christmas now I just want it to be over with b/c it's really depressing not wanting to go outside to just be cold.

yeah i have a bodykit, unforutanly i hve to i don''t want to break it in the winter due to the heavy snow. my body kits all fiberglass and that would be really bad. yes diablo i agree with you i hate this stuff. it was cool back in dec an nov when it first hit. now its just annoying.

Yeah, my car is NOT moving for a couple of days. The snow is at the top of the wheel  Never mind that there is a mountain of snow in front, and back, of the car. Looks like I'll miss the next couple of days of school

I wanted to take a pic of this but my father has absconded with the camera.

NY was hit with a record 22.8 inches of snow in Central Park. THAT'S the kind of snow I want ;)

So yeah, I finally had to dig the car out this morning. It's still not moving for at least two days lol.

You know there's too much snow when you don't know where IN the snow the car is.

It was like 70 here this weekend. I think I goit sunburned at the skatepark. My pool is at around 68. Anybody for swimming and BBQ this weekend? I got some Sturgeon filets and some steaks.

(Sorry, had to rub it in..... 8) )

lol yeah, it must be nice to even THINK about taking a dip in a pool.

But I wouldn't trade it in. I know what it's like to be 65 degrees out with no cloud in the sky and fresh cut grass but you guys don't know what a snow day is like. Yeah, it blows since it's like 30 degrees and with the wind chill it's like 15, but still, things slow down, you have an excuse to stay home from work/school and be lazy. I'm serious too. I guess you have to experience it to know what I'm talking about.

So what about the guys in Minnesota or Canada or even Alaska that have to deal with this all year round. That's a different story. I wouldn't want that :) I like having a real summer, winter, fall and spring.

No. I know snow-days. they are awesome, snuggle-up by the fire-with your-lady kinda' days. Hot tubbin' when its dropping lightly.......Skiing to my front door.....jumping a snowmobile on a waxed disk....huhuhuh :)
I frequent the Colorado rockies.............

Phhhh, you call that winter. Try October to May where i'm at. i drive sled(snowmobile) from the base of a mountain(3000ft), to mid mountain(7000ft) where I start my shift driving a snow cat up to 9500 ft. meh, its a living.

You canadians are funny! lol

An 80-85 summer temp, is hardly considered summer. I was working the three hotest days in NY City history as a postal employee. It was 101, 100, 101, respectively. That was before the heat index  Check out 'Summer in the City' by the Lovin' Spoonful.

Why are we talking about summer? No matter where we are, it's still February ;)

Here are pics from the day AFTER the snow hit (so, yesterday [2/13] afternoon) and started to melt:

Image

The fence on the left is about a good 4 or 4 1/2 feet tall.

Image

On the right, if you can make out the red, is my dad's Mazda 5.

Image

If you see on the bottom left corner, a review mirror is visible. That is my car.

Image

The first car is my brother's Sentra and behind it is mine.

Image

That's my backyard.

I used to live at 9200 feet elevation. Snow from the first of Oct, maybe Sept, until at least May. I only lived there (outside of Lake City, CO) for a year, so I can't really talk, but I love snow. I like my four seasons though, so MO suits me ok. Except when it's just stupid, and it's like 115 in July with 97% humidity. Or January when it's -10, no snow, and the wind is blowing 35 mph. Those both suck, but you know....the nice days make up for it. Like today. Sunny and 61. 8)

hahaha, I just want to jump in that snow! I can't wait til Spring gets here! Summer sucks here, way too humid.

I'm in Queens, NY. Manhattan is the one that got the worst outta the five boroughs (Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island) from this storm.

Yeah, I can't wait spring :D

NY is fun. I've been there a few times. Stayed at Steinbrenner's hotel on 54th. Ate at teh Carnegie Deli and Tavern on the Green. Skateboarded to the Metro Museum and the Twin Towers down to the end of the island while my wife was at work at ABC studios uptown. Cool place.
Also went to Brookln and visited the house my Grampa grew up in. Nobody F's with you there. Pretty cool.
(That is unless you are below Times Square after 2am down by Cowboy Ugly. That was FUCKIN' SCARY for this Californian Honky! Not a Taxi for miles.... :?
