I spray on the foam, hit it with a hot-pressure washer ten minutes later, wipe what I can and drive it.

(OB and I are lucky, we got California cars......I'm not rubbing it in, just noting that it takes MUCH more effort back East..)

Yeah, with all the rain you guys get, the engine bay should never be dirty. Just drive it through a flooded side street!

It'll dry before parts start rusting. Just make sure you cover the electronic components before you do it... And uncover them when you're done.

I used purple power on my engine, sprayed it down, then just rinsed it off and started the car, rinsed some more. let it idle a few minutes, then drove it around about 10-15 minutes to dry the rest of the water. Im still too afraid to do it w/ my blue one though....lol

Just make sure you let it dry a bit before starting. I will blow out the cracks and crevices with an air compressor and wipe excess with a towel before I start it.
The V8 in my wifey's mall-crawler hates to be wet. The plugs foul and it runs like shit. (duh) Its been up to it's door-sills in water during some flooding we had though. F-er made rooster tails in my kids preschool parking lot! hahaaha
Yeh, foamy-engine bright or whatever works well. I use it on my exhaust tips, brakes, undercarriage, etc. (don't get it in an oopen cut though!) :yell:

It'll probably eat all the plastic off... But then again, it'd be clean, right? :)
