the sx with the new shoes

Post by rice_eater » Mon May 01, 2006 10:07 pm

trying to pimp the car up a bit to get more money out of it as i'm pretty sure i'd like to unburden myself of a debt... i only used it once since i got the srt, and while it amazed me yet again today with the superb turnin and great overall handling, the srt is still overall more stable and can make up any lost time with raw power. here's some shots i snapped, for a future forsale thread

how the hell did you manage to get rid of the gap between the hood and the srt front bumper?

eeeerrrrrr... wrong answer. its the other way around.

srt hood and stock bumper = overbite (hood hangs over bumper)
stock hood and srt bumper = gap... although, i think 03+ hoods are longer. so there shouldn't be a gap.

Zoom in on that puppy and it looks like they're hitting together, especially around the headlights. Could just be the picture.

That car looks great! But, as said before, drop that thing. Homemade black antenna would look good on there too.

sorry dude, this is one of the few times when you're wrong  stock hood and srt front = overbite; on the srt, there is huge gap inbetween the hood and the bumper; no idea about srt hood on stock bumper though. i too was big into cow tipping before so its great to meet another fan of this great midnight sport

it dues rub ever so slightly on right by the headlamps as people have noticed, but hey, that's the price you gotta pay to be a ricer  you guys are making me feel real bad about thinking about selling it now :x i'm not gonna lower the car anymore that's for sure, unless i upgrade my srt's suspension; this one already has konis and srt springs

did what? the stock hood has overbite over hte srt bumper, so i have to carefully push the hood down instead of dropping it, sometimes i even pull a bit on the bumper by the headlight so the hood tucks behind it neetly. its a bit of a hassle i admit, and you're gonna crinch everytime a shop mechanic slams your hood

yeah like i said, srt hood and srt-d or srt bumper equal GAP, stock SX hood and srt bumper, overbite. your "stock" srt-d hood is the same hood as the srt hood so that's probably why you lucked out and didnt have the rub... i'll take more space inbetween over rub, but yeah i like the way it looks from a distance where it looks like they join in almost perfect
