i like how you did the JDM hood tilt..did you just add washers inbetween the hood and the hinge right? but i like it. maybe a CF hood and Rota D2s would look nice on your car. :)

the spacers are copper tube (about 3/4") and washers to get a good lift and a snug fit. for those of you who dont know what hood spacers are, theyre an aerodynamic mod that pulls cold air from outside of the engine bay inside, lowering temperatures and basically serving the same purpose as a functioning hood scoop.

thanks for the comments and i KNOW it would look better lower, but that will come in time. im enjoying my 5.5" of ground clearance (yes I scrape if im not very careful) while i save for suspension.

keep the feedback comin!

i had hood spacers on my skunk for a while.... looked funny to me and all my friends so i took them off. but to each his own b/c the lip kit looks great, but you need a drop and wheels.

^^^ it looks like the front of it is sitting too low on the bumper, liek it should be closer to that lower grill, glad im not the only one that noticed that....

yeah i like it the way it is, at first one side was a bit higher than the other, and i was gonna straighten that out AND get rid of the angle, but ive grown to like it and decided to get the front even but keep the angle. from the side it looks really agressive, and aerodynamically speaking the little fin on the side is now creating more downforce than it would flat, almost like canards would. I think of things from both a performance and a looks POV, while a lot of people are all about whether its done "by the book" and looks like everyone elses. but if u think it looks like shit thats cool, i think a lot of cars on here look pretty poopy myself 8)

its effective and i personally like the way it looks, sorry.

neonchic- yeah a drop and wheels will finish off the exterior, but dont expect me to go with some flashy huge wheels, im actually starting to like my stockers compared to these crazy wheels im seein lately on peoples cars around here. i might paint em for the time being, maybe gunmetal.

Tat angld fart can iz tite yo! I betz itz lowd! j/p

Looks different. To each his own. All you need now is a new rear bumper to set it off. Then like everyone else is saying, get it slammed. Makes Neons look sooooo much better.

Sorry dude, that lip isnt creating any downforce, angled or straight.

Hey bro the car is lookin' cool. The hood tilt is WAY old school tech. (My dad and his drag buddies used to do that in the 60's..haha) Of course, then the cowl-hood was invented. Anyway.
Your springs will come soon man. I just need time.
C/F hood, gun-metal wheels w/chrome lip, C/F trunk no wing, then yer done..haha :D

Nice, but you GOTTA get a rear bumper of some sort...try the AVS rear bumper. It's an add-on lip like the Mopar kit. It might have the dual exhaust holes cut already though...I'd ask Paralyzer or whatever his name is. He got the AVS kit and looks really damn good!

On a different note, what did you do to paint those chrome grilles? How did you take them off? I gotta spray mine flat black or something...they're terrible!

i always had the idea that the hood will help hot air escape the engine bay, not really help air go in. its acutally the opposite of a hood scoop.

i'm sure it allows better flow as well. Its sort of like having two windows open in your house on opposite sides. You notice a significant draft, but once you close one window, theres no more draft.

Either way, its pretty getto for the street, but its a great idea for the track.
