First pics / First wax

Post by koreysxt » Tue May 23, 2006 11:26 am

I finally have some pics of my 05 SXT. Yeah -- it's boring, and basically stock on the outside. I purchased it new in Dec. I finally got around to waxing it last week. (this is also my first time posting pics -- so I hope they work).

I wasn't even counting the tint -- since it's officially an interior mod:)

The antenna is the stocker -- about cut in half, and painted flat black. Had a heck of a time finding a new top. Ended up with a 'rubber thingy' from Ace.

Things I still want to do to Exterior:

* 205 series rubber
* fill-in/paint front license plate holes
* exhaust
* R/T side skirts

It's actually Inferno Red. Is Blaze Red the bright red?

I haven't noticed any loss in reception with the shorty antenna. But, I only listen to stations within the metro area. I'm using an Alpine HU.

I do like the looks w/o the side mouldings. I would do this if I had an SE. I don't mind them on the SXT -- since they are color-matched. My van has them, and they have saved it from a few door dings. They do look cleaner w/o.

Ah... I didn't think they made the Inferno Red after '02... :? Mine's Blaze Red... Flame Red is the bright red.

Mine was an SE and the side molding color matched.... maybe it has to do with 03 ups... I just park in good places so I don't have to worry about someone slammin there door into my door.

IIRC all 00-02s had color matched handles and moldings, 03+ SEs mostly came with black, but i have seen a few color matched.

Nope. Says "Inferno Red" on the window sticker, and 05 Brochure. I'll double check tonight -- as you all got me interested now... That's also what they call the color when you build one on Dodge's website (I'm surprised you can still build an 05 Neon on their website)...
