and another quick update. interior is all cleaned out. next step will just be vaccuuming and wiping down, here's a couple pics.

the speakers that will be going in the car are laying on the seat, just soem stock 04 SXT speakers...

as for a deck, i have decided to go with one of the 2 04 decks i have laying aroudn and just get teh harness to adapt it to the 00 wiring, anyone know where i can get said harness?

and yes, this car is once again gettign love. and she will never see the kind of abuse she suffered for the last 10-11 months again. sitting out in the dirt, rotting away, being pilfered for parts like some dead carcass.... she'll be my daily driver, to keep the miles lower on the 04, and so if need be, i can have the 04 down for mods for longer than a day, and still be able to get to work and such.

what i did yesterday/today
-got tabs yesterday
-found my stock grille today
-filled the hole in the HVAC bezel with a stock 04 deck... too bad its useless til i get wiring....
-filled the other hole in the dash....

whoa, wait a minute... What's the point of taking the cover off the air bag? Why bother doing any weight redux to a stock car?

I understand getting a delete panel, cuz it adds a neat cubby hole, but why not just put the whole thing in so your passenger is safe?

i dont have any of the mounting hardware (uts bolts) except the trim screws. so it wouldnt exactly be safe to have it in there without being secure. this is just a temporary solution BTW, should have a mopar delete in a few weeks.

update, im PISSED.

so my tabs expire in may of each year. well, when i licensed the car, they gave me an 08 tab. then they called me the next day andtold me they gave em the wrong tab, didnt say what the problem was, made it seem as if the numbers were just off. so i went back, pulled hte tab off in the parking lot, took it in, they took it from me, then handed me the new tab, taped to a paper, face down. after the 08 one was in her hand, she goes,

"we gave you an 08 tab, you were supposed to get an 07 tab, so in may you hafta coem back and relicense it"

?!?!?! DAMN YOU WASHINGTON STATE SONS OF BITCHES!

i had to pay $43 to drive this car for 2 months, then i hafta pay another $43 to relicense it!!!!

well theres been a change of plans.

this car is soon to become the wife's daily driver... we are gonna pass her SXT off onto someone as soon as its fixed. haev the extra $200 a month to put towards our debt, nad get our credit back up and hopefully get her a new car in a few months. we are also gonna be getting a place together again.

as for painting it, im not sure yet, and im not sure on the color anymore either. thinking of doing a single stage gloss color on it.. maybe stay white.. maybe chagne it, i have always wanted to paint this car a dark brown for some reason.... just cuz its different.

jaci, ill prolly swap the seats today.... and try and find a shipping container or soemthgin for them this weekend....

get another stock hood and paint it white and call it a day....good thinkin on giving it to the wife for a daily driver so she can get rid of her sxt.....paying back bills ftw rather then having 3 cars....just my opinion...but damn man, first time i read this thread...you ahve done alot of nice work reviving the skunk

well ive run into a problem as far as makign the white car a daily... it gets HORRIBLE gas milage. i forgot i had a CEL for the trans....

i need to find a wrecked 5 speed so i can gank the parts for a swap, cuz iIDK how to fix that CEL.

and as for paint, i want teh whoel car to match. period. plus it has dents and scratches that i want gone.


PROGRESS:
i pulled the OBX header and halfass DP with Catco cat out yesterday. threw on the stock mani, cat/dp and a shorty glasspack to quiet it down til i can find a damn midpipe.
