yesterday we swapped over a lot of parts from the old motor to the new motor, got the exhaust from the SRT out from under the car, and got the T-850 of the old SRT engine.
the head, intake, and exhaust manifold gaskets should be in today, also at Diablo's suggestion i ordered a 3" O/2 Housing from modern that will also be here today. I'm not exactly sure what all we are doing today since matt has to work, but I'm gonna try to get a lot done.

And I like these updates. This is what I was talking about earlier.

opi i don't th ink that's the biggest thing on his mind right now....
it's to get the car done since, well he's stuck there till it's done. and he doesn't have a car till this is done....this was unexpected timing. i think matt and him were gonna try another weekend type deal where they could do it.....but this came up first
and isn't it kinda their business what they work out as far as money?

Future customers. That's all I'm concerned with. I'm not asking how much was the total cost, I'm asking if any discount was given.
I feel that on Matts website, this thread should be linked to his swap page so everyone knows how things went.

i agree also....
but i think prying on if it's a little cheaper now bc he is helping, isn't really your business.....

If they feel it isn't, then one of them should say so instead of ignoring the post.

Update: COMPLETE master gasket set arrived from mopar. all major seals, not just manifolds and head gasket (head gasket, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, cam seals, cam pos. sensor seal, valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals)
Josh: David and I will discuss this, but J's right, what we work out is not really your business. The swap was unscheduled, as he was supposed to come up in August(due to his schedule), but because of the tranny blowing at Carlisle, things got moved much forward, so I was unable to have my partner help. As far as I have gathered, David doesn't mind helping, and he seems to actually enjoy it. He didn't have to help, but he is. We've both made sacrifices to get the swap done now instead of in August. He's missed his family reunion in NC and i'm behind on led orders and my garage looks like a cyclone hit it.
Like i said, david and i will talk about it, but its not information that you need to know. Had things been put on a schedule, he would have been sitting up here, watching TV on the bigscreen, and out in a weekend.
EDIT: David and I have come to an agreement. If he wants to he can tell you what it is. Which i believe he is...

You know at carlisle krack was in my car for a good bit on Sun due to me have nice cold A/C and he nothing. You may wish to think about putting the A/C back in over the winter or something. Cause you know David Va summer like Md summer. More humid then a pit bull's mouth.

haha, dude, you saw the wheels on my car and you sat in the seats...you should know better...MY MODS!
silent(this is matt again): he said he's been riding around without working AC, but we are going to keep the evaporator in there and block it off like chris suggested...i personally couldnt live without AC in my car, but my car is also black........... oh yeah, and PA summer is just as bad as MD and VA summer......we can get up to 100+ with 100% humidity......bleh

like matt said, my A/C hasn't been working for some time now, I've been living with 4 and 60(for those that don't know thats 4 windows down at 60 MPH) and yes i know how bad VA summer can get, but for the most part I wont be driving during the rest of the summer, when i get back to camp.

I (the person who removed carpet/sound deanding from a DD) couldnt live with out a/c. My search for srt wheels is over, junkyard called sayed they got a "neon" with 16" bbs's (I'm thinking the same thing you are)
