This is why I needed new speakers:

Image

Those papper cones are useless.
:( my alpine mini amp is on backorder so now my components will be underpowered for awhile. The manual for the components say I need 65watts (peak not RMS) to run these and currently i can get 25watts peak per channel out of my radio and they do sound quiet and not as responsive with that power applied. With the amp I will be right at 65grrr why does this have to be on back order!

I plan on pin striping over the yellow. Maybe with red or just go over the yellow with black.

so much for those rims. Just got a call estimated availability 3weeks -2 months, nice.

So I found a Rim that was a little heavier but, at least they guaranteed that it was in stock. They were $174 per wheel

Man, those rims look great. Pretty much exactly what I want but in silver. However, I am very very wary of light weight rims from companies that don't have a reputation behind them. I dunno who they are and how they will hold up to track abuse, and I've heard horror stories from track folk regarding cheap lightweight rims.

How do you like those BCs? :D

I was on the fence between the Machined and Black Tenzo R Type Ms but its a flat black. I figured the machined look is different and pretty freakin sweet looking IMO. I know what you mean about the light rims. I have the Flick Hornets but as of right now they are unusable because the paint flaked off and one of the rims bent. they were 18lbs and pretty cheap. So i guess you get what u pay for.

I am happy with the BCs. The NEX coils felt like they had better dampers but the construction of them sucked and was almost dangerous for racing. The Sway bar tabs snapped so easily. I think I just need to find a good setting in the dampers and I should be ok.

I still want those Daylites but it looks like the factory even has a shortage on them right now! They said there is no way to tell when the factory can even get them back out. Being 14lbs they would have been killer rims for the track and autox but whatcya gonna do.

They are Tenzo Type M rims. They are actually Tenzo Type M Version 2 - Machined. They just launched some new styles in the Type M this year and this is one of them.

They are at the bottom of the page on this link:

Awesome Ragek! We'll have to get together sometime then. I was looking at those Type M's for the HHR, but they don't come in 5X110 :( They're nice though!

Yay new front and rear RAYBESTOS rotors and EBC red pads all around!
I thought the brake job was going to go smoothly as always this time untill my roommate rounded off my front lug nut! The lug nuts seem to corrode on in the winter so it makes it tough to get them off. I had a shop remove the broken lug nut and loosen the rest all around. Apparently the lug nuts were so corroded on the hubs that they broke 2 sockets just getting them off!

Sweet camber is fixed due to adding some camber bolts! I can't believe they actually worked. I had -2.7 degrees of camber!

no no haha but after setting the camber back to 0degrees the car doesn't handle as well :(. So for my first autox of the season coming up this Sunday everything is getting set back to -2degrees (in the rear) for autox then, I am gonna throw it back to 0 degrees for daily driving.

Here is a long waited update pic:

Image

Skirts are on however 1 month after they were on a deer hit me on the passenger side denting both passenger doors and cracking a skirt . It's about $1200 to get it back to 100% so we shall see.

Engine wise:

Just got an A/FX Race PCM and I have been attempting to get my vin programed into it. with little luck.

I just installed new Grantinelli Spark Plug Wires. They seem pretty high quality.

I also have a walbaro fuel pump waiting to be installed.

passenger side, hood and front bumper were repainted. I also put on a civic type r lip.

Still working on installing the a/fx race pcm. the local dealer couldn't program the pcm so i had to send it away to get programed. Just have to install it now. only problem is that the bolt holding the old one on is stripped in the fenderwell yay.

only difference I can feel is that the car runs smoother and has a better idle that's it. if I had todo it again I probably wouldn't have bought the a/fx pcm because it's not worth the money brand new. I probably would have just bought another remain PCM to replace my broken one.

The UDP missfire CEL didn't come on till 7200 normally it's around 5800. I think the redline was around 7300 but, it doesn't matter because I believe the comp 400 powerband dies at 6800.

I have to take that back. apparently it must need some time to tune itself because 3rd gear pulls are amazing tonight. I normally have trouble passing people on this one road and the a/fx must have added a good 15hp because it pulled harder than ever through 5000K rpm and I passed this lower driver like nothing. I am also getting better gas mileage. I will have to wait a tank or 2 when i stop fooling around with the car to gauge it better but I can tell gas mileage has improved.

had the car up on my friend's lift this weekend. good news is the k-frame has some life left in it. bad news is that I need new brake rotors and my driver's side balljoint looks shot and only after 1 yr. Hmm i guess i am going with a moog this time around. Atleast the brakes lasted me about 30K this time around.

Too funny, I just got a 3 ton low profile aluminum jack from them as well. Picked up the aluminum jack stands too. Love em!

It's great seeing new pics of your car. So minty
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
