So about a month ago I filed a complaint with the attorney general of MO against the machine shop "Burlington Performance" in Raytown, MO because they lost my lifters, and then dodged my phone calls for over two weeks. I didn't even put anything in the complaint about wanting him to make good on promising me an assembled motor but giving me back a box with all my parts in it.
About 2 weeks ago the owner called me saying he had received the letter from the state and wanted to make good on it. He was calm, reasonable, and a pleasure to talk to. I was very happy to hear that he wanted to make good on his mistake. We got to talking about how I felt he had also done me wrong by not assembling the motor as he said he would. He told me that he had no record of my receipt, but I told him that I still had my copy and I would mail it to him along with the before and after pictures of the head showing the lifters. He agreed to call me when he got the photos.
Last night on the drive home from work he calls me and asks if I have the receipt in from of me. I explain to him that I'm driving and I don't have it available to me at the moment, but ask him to continue with what he was saying. His tone changes to nothing short of "smart-ass" and he says "well if you were looking at it you would see clear as day that it says nothing about assembling the motor".
I told him that I may not have it in front of me but I have looked it over enough times to know that it says "tank all engine parts - install new". He says "yeah, install new freezeplugs". So we get into a huge argument about the way it's written, I claim it's deceiving, he says "it's my god damn shop and I can write a paragraph however i fucking want".
In the background I can hear a man and woman talking who I later find out are his son and wife (who help him run the shop). He says "I've got two people here who don't even know you and they say it isn't deceiving. My wife thinks I shouldn't have even bothered to call you". At this point I'm thinking to myself, yeah big surprise, your wife doesn't see it my way....
He then said if I felt it said something else I should come down to the shop and say it to his face, and I might get my ass kicked. He also said he would send a copy of the receipt to the attorney general (which is perfectly fine with me because maybe they will see it my way), and he hung up on me.
So sorry about the huge rant, I'm just venting because I'm pissed. Also for anyone who hasn't seen it yet here's a copy of the receipt. Oh, and I do not recommend taking your business to Burlington Performance in Raytown.

No a white one for American pride!!!!! lol NOT!glasswars wrote:now you need a yellow one and you can have primary neons.
which one is going to carlisle?! or is the srt gonna tow the sxt?
I think the SRT is going. Not sure. Depends how far along the swap is by then
Oh, so a little more about it-
35,xxx miles. 04 (yay LSD). Sunroof. 6 disc. Kicker. Came with a turbo timer and short throw.
Exhaust, BFMIC, and BOV will be going on shortly. I plan on keeping stock exterior with the exception of rolling the rear bumper and shorty antenna. Maybe some tint on the front windows- (already has some on the back).

I'll probably swap the SRT and leave the SXT as my DD. Don't know. Something is definitely getting swapped though.

I've been thinking of ditching my assembled megasquirt and going for something that flashes, such as this: http://www.agpturbo.com/product.php?pro ... 273&page=1
or
http://sctflash.com/DCXC2.php
However I'd like to build a pro / con list. So far I have this:
MegaSquirt
+More control?
-Painful install
-Restrictive processor
Flash
+Easy "install"
+No wiring
-Limited tuning
Thoughts?

I can see what he is saying in regards to it being freeze plugs. HOWEVER, he should have indented it much much further to make it appear as though it wasn't a new line.
In addition to that some people write short hand instead of writing everything out, so I see you as expecting him to reassemble.
Also, who the hell tears down an engine, tanks it, checks for problems and doesn't reassemble it. But thats my opinion on that.
Congrats on the SRT. Put the beast in the SRT, swap the SXT and have Godzilla and his kid in the garage
