Sorry I didn't see this sooner, get two of these: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=p ... lpage=none

I don't think thats exactly the right size but any lowes should carry the right size. Thats what I did and it was perfect. I did it up real nice with braided line though. I will take a good pic of it when i get back on monday. I had done the same thing you did orriginaly and hated how big it was and found those fittings at lowes and swaped them out.

Best i can do for now:

Dude anytime you got a question like that hit me up. 316-680-7791. Chances are i been there done that. If you ever need help I can drive up on the weekeds to help.

Si8de note what did you use to seal the return line to the canistor?

I'm asking cause i had a major issue with that, would hate to see you have the same problome.

Thanks man!!!!

for the return as of right now, I'm using the specified gasket that cam with the fitting. I hope that it work, or I"m going to have a serious mess

LOL

I made the fitting hole a bit small to make sure it was a tight fit and threaded in on with the nylon washer to seal, and a back nut to finish it off.

Get some of these:
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Stat-O-Seals,1000.html

There is a cheaper place to get them but i can't find the site at the moment, I tried the nylon washers and they leaked.

there is actually two bolts that mount it to the firewall/ cowl. I think that I used a 8 or 10mm socket to get it off.

The truth being, not much, been waiting to get my oil pan welded with the return fitting, and I've been traveling a lot with work across the US. I have tinkered with the car a bit, but with temps 95+ degrees and a heat index of 109 I've been diverting away from the garage...

I'm leaving on vacation up to Michigan this weekend, so maybe once I get back next week I'll get back to work on the beast.

I feel you on that one, Nate. My fiancee and I were in Wisconsin from 7/1 to 7/9 and I loved the temps up there while we were gone.

just a little update....

I worked on the car on Sunday for a little bit. I finished up the wiring for the headlights, and wired them in completely, so none of those cheap wire splices. I powered it all up and my passenger HID bulb crapped out ( WTF!!!!!) So now i'm trying to work with the company I bought them from and also seeing if I can use VVME's H1 bulbs, since they are 80 bucks cheaper. I"m putting a list of what I still need to do on the car. My wife wants to get it done. LOL, so I need to get her a list of what it will take to get her ( neon) moving again.

I will be picking up bolts and nuts to finish the O2 housing connection, purchase my adapter fitting from -8AN (f) to -6AN (m) for my fuel. I need to pick up some 5/8" heater hose for the coolant extension and ~ 20 -22 ft of fuel line that will fit -6AN fittings. Some of this i will order online and the rest I will pick up on my way home today.

Thanks!!!

I had the same issue when I lived in Michigan for a year. I had to park the neon for the winter and barrow a truck from my wifes father to get to work. THat is the great thing for living in Texas now... LOL no snow, but our roads get flooded all teh time with rain.
