Well here is an update....
With a heat gun, small screwdriver, and a few cuts on the hand...
I was able to get the black gunk off the lense.
then I sanded down the reflectors and preped them for primer.
Finished the primer side...
waiting 30 mins for the primer to set and then going to lay the first layer of semi gloss....

Me too. well I didn't get back to the lights today, but Matt and I got a lot done on the car today. Here we go on the pics...
Car is moved to the 3rd garage bay...
Exhaust mocked up again and installed. I still need to get a gasket for the flange near the muffler.
Relocated the return line..
Hacked up the hot side piping to make it work properly on the 2.0L
Another mock fit of the cold air and the J-bend for the cold side. Also thinking of relocating the computer to where the battery is.
Mocked up bracket and sealed hot side for the time being.
Oh and here is the White beast out in the sun... getting moved around for now.
Will have more pics tomorrow of the lights..

Well on Sunday I didn't get to work on the car at all, but I was able to put 2 nice coats of semi-gloss paint on the light housings. I let them dry over night. I'm trying to figure out if I should run the halo's or not. If I do, then I need to make another hole in the housings. I might just do it anyways, just incase I get tired of the lights maybe someone else will want them...
I will get some pics tonight of the housings drilled, and mocked up again. I will then need to align the cut off lines when I'm at the car again.

car is coming along great nate, i love the color of ur car! also looks like u change the return to like how i have mine set up? i like it that way, it is alot cleaner looking when the car is all set, and the line is not close to the turbo/heat either....

I kinda like it, plus it was a gift from my wife during the last body work and its welded to the car.
Dave-
yea Matt thought it might be better to move it. so are are looking into a couple locations at the moment. We are looking at mounting the BEGI in the cowling area to really keep it away from the heat. We are going to figure out where the best place will be.

lol, that is true.... just drive with ur windows down, and make sure not to get caught in traffic.... lol

I do that already, but when its 110 out.. l like my windows closed... lol
plus if we can fit it in the area where the wiper motors are at, I will only need to adjust a couple of time... so once its set I won't need to mess with it.. well that is the plan.. LOL

well you are correct there my friend. For the last year and a half I have not even started it.. In between the previous paint and the break down ofthe motor, I was driving it for while.
Once I get the motor done, it will hit the road more. Its kinda hard to work on the car when I travel a lot for my company domestically and internationaly. But my next couple of months look like I will be able to focus on the car more to at least get it moving on its own wheels at least.

Here is what I did so far.... I"m still trying to figure out if I want to use the halos or not....

one of my dogs.. Alex checking things out..lol
test mounted
and the two side by side...
My issue right now is this....
the plug is bigger then the plug...
Well I figured how to fix the plug issue.. I just had to de-pin it , drill the hole and seal it.
edit again..
I finished up the halo grommets and now I just need to power them up and make sure they aim correctly before I seal them up.

I was able to pick up the rest of my parts needed this past week, but due to a funeral, and bad weather, I was not able to work on the car. This will go for the rest of the week until Saturday evening. I have to study for my GMAT exam on Saturday morning so I can enroll into my Masters Program in the fall.
Stay Tuned....

Mini Update for my brotha from anotha motha
Drove up to Matts place last nite and I we solved the coldside pipe prob..
(crappy phone pic)

(Silver pipe with white hand will be the coldside and blue pipe is the CAI)
I showed Matt a couple of 2.5 hump couplings that I had from the 2.0 turbo setup and we went to town on your AEM Intake pipe.. Matt chopped it up and we plan to use it for the coldside with your big 90 coupling, another hump hose coupling (if I can find it) and my old HKS Adapter Pipe that's coming off neon motor tonite..
I almost cried when I seen the 2" J bend you guys bought for the coldside.. I was like "NO... get it out of my sigtht"

.. It'll be better with a 2.5 pipe than a 2 incher..
We also (mostly Matt aka tard boy) figured and planned on how the boost/vacuum lines will be ran.. I'm gonna go pick some COPPER/BRONZE tees up tomorrow from Ace Hardware or Home Depot to get everything set
I'll try to drop the stuff off with tard boy sometime this weekend so we can here this biotch run..
And we also need to chop down the CAI and make it into a SRI (Short Ram Intake) cuz it's gonna be reeeeaaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyyy tight..
End of Update...
