Well, its been awhile since I have updated this thread, and I've been slacking for awhile, but my job / holidays have kept me from working on the car. I have put my foot down and I'm going to start this up again.... So today it was 72 out, and I decided that it was time to work.
The car is back on the stands... yeah!!! can't get access to my attic agian.. LOL
I was fortunate to get my front bumper up in the attic before it went on the stands...
I'm trying to figure a way to get my FM stations again, since I have no outside antenna, so I'm installing one inside my dash if possible...
I have it hooked up, but i'm getting a lot of static... It will come to me sooner or later.
I'm also going to work on modding the turbo pods onto my dash..
Now I need to figure out what I need to do to make it work.
Onto the Engine... The break down begins and the turbo installs started..
As you can see I tore down what I could.. nothing a little WD-40 can work with.. LOL
Cooliant tank removed for the time being.. I will have to relocate the cooliant some where else in the tight engine compartment.
Now here is one question that I have.. This box that I took out that is right by the OEM cooliant bottle I need gone so the turbo can fit. Any idea what it is, and do I need it?
It had vac line connected to it. I temporally tied it off so there wouldn't be a leak.
I removed the heat shield off the exhaust manifold and tried to break free the bolts on the Catalitic converter.. too rusted.. WD-40 is sitting on it right now... I hope that it works.

Well, today I called in sick today from work due to waiting on furniture arriving at my house. Ofcourse they give me a window from 7am to 10pm...
Since is it nice out today I though that I would continue tearing down for the turbo... So this is what I was able to do before lunch.
I broke loose the exhaust bolts on the mid pipe and loosen all the bolts off the exhaust manifold and with a little help by a hammer
I took off the CAI for the last time... The car looks completely destroided LOL
Finally got the manifold out and now I have tons of room back there..
Any one need a mainfold??? LOL
I also started to take apart the Turbofold so I could start polishing the housing, but I think that I might just take it somewhere and get it done.
I'm going to try to get some help with the oil feed lines, and need some assistance with removing the oil pan and etc...
Friday 23rd
Well I picked up my buddies high speed buffer and another Turbo housing to work on. I used a 3 stage polishing setup, and worked on it last night for a couple of hours and then finished it up this morning for now...

THE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE TWO:
I also started on installing the adapter plate, but ran into a small issue.
This is only the half of the adapter and I have a some play even with bolts tight. I might have to change out the bolts to a shorter one, I might be hitting the end of the thread. I took a break ( its 50 out and a bit cold for us southerns)
I should put more up later on today.
Well I tried again after I had some lunch and figured that I was using the wrong size of bolts, there were 3 differnt sizes to the kit and I put the wrong ones on first.... .
So I finished mounting the adapter plate up to the block.. Looking good so far...
I then did a test fit with the Turbo manifold on to check clearances..
I think that I need to cover up the lines attached to the firewall..
I will mess with it more in a bit.
