MOPAR
Stock TD04-16G – 300hp seems to be the hp goal for this baby
Inducer: 1.71”
Exducer: 2.21”

Mopar Stage3 TD05-15G – 350 is easy, 400hp is the goal for this one. Crappy manifold design seems to be the limiting factor here
Inducer: 1.94
Exducer: 2.56

AGP
AGP 50 trim – 450 is reasonable and mid 11’s are commonplace
Inducer: 2.12”
Exducer: 2.95”

Hahn Super 20g – look forward to near 400hp with this beauty
Inducer: 2.07”
Exducer: 2.67”

Don't do it man!!!

$800 on top of the kit itself....that's way more than it's worth

Adionik,
The Stage 3 is more reliable than any of those kits. Its a daily driver. Like I said I am not looking for an INSANE amount of power that you are probably looking for. I want something that is plug and play with a really nice power curve. Can't beat that with a Stage 3. No tuning required. Everything included. I don't have to worry about getting bigger injectors, a $$$ BOV setup, a tuning device, messing with the VAC lines, an aftermarket fuel pump, a aftermarket fuel rail, plus I will be getting better gas mileage. Do the aftermarket setups have a TOYS option at the press of a button? I am not going to spend another $800, especially to PTP of all places. If I would send it off to anyone it would be Forward Motion. $525 for a bigger compressor wheel that will net me 45 - 50hp
http://www.forwardmotioninc.com/html/ca ... age18.html

Doubt I will do that though. If anything I would like to get the inside and outside of the exhaust manifold ceramic coated.

A couple vids I found that make me feel good about my purchase that I will make:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MizwFGDCd4U
Just the amount of power I am looking for.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STj3CiRJ9EU
450hp/400tq.. They wish. They put that there to make them feel better about losing to a Neon.

I am gonna have to agree with you. You are definitely making the right decision on what to purchase. Since you are after something tried and true, due to the car being a DD, I don't think you can go wrong with the plug and play aspect of the Mopar setup.

I'm sure you don't need any reassurance from me, but I decided to give my two cents anyway.

Yeah thats pretty cool. Doesn't bother me at all since I never had a warranty to begin with.

I'll throw my .02 in as well. The MP S3 is the perfect choice since you want to keep your car reliable. Not to mention the other little problems you run into with the other kits (how many things can we melt under the hood?)

Plug & Play + improved power + same or better fuel economy + stock appearance = FTMFW!

I'm not dogging the kit...god knows I want it

But i'm just saying there is other alternatives for less money...and hell yeah that S3k will kill a LOT of cars on the road. That spool time is very nice

Its all good. I would rather spend a bit more money and have less headaches, yah know. :P
Besides, doesn't the kit go for like $3800-$4300 new?! I don't even know if they sell it anymore...

It's back ordered to hell, the only thing you can do now is buy a used kit or piece together some parts. I have seen a lot of used and brand new Stage 3 stuff in the FS forums lately.

I got it as a gift for Christmas. Doesn't even work. I jsut put it on the stock boost gauge because it fits ont here so perfectly. I took it right off. Just did it as a joke. :D

Plan on getting my entire turbo rebuilt via http://www.ffperformance.com
Talked to Bob the onwer for quite some time. He owns a SRT-4, so its all good. :D
$230 for the rebuild including the new Iconel wheel. $70 for the balancing. Or $535 that comes with 47lb wheel and will probably not need balancing with the new wheel he said.

Was just going to do the turbine wheel and get it balanced. But these guys do it a ton cheaper. Going to get the EM, 02 housing and compressor cover, ceramic coated 100% for sure. Thinking about picking up a Maxxfab Stage 3 02 housing before hand and getting that ceramic coated isntead of the stock Stage 3 02 housing one.
$90 for all that ceramic coated.

Looking into porting out the above mentioned things too... $325 for that.

Not sure what all I want to do and how much $$$ I want to spend. I don't want to regret not doing one or the other you know. But I will net some HUGE gains with the above work thats totally worth it.

almost looks like a mini in-dash shifter :D

EDIT: You got in a post before me. Sounds like some killer plans in store for the S3. Do it! (man that is easy to say when it isn't my money) Yea, do it! (ahh, feels good)

I really wanted those hoses, but I hear there are issues with the sensor that goes in. It's always falling off or something....

Plus i'm not sure how it works with meth...?

I did indeed get it.
Left at 3am a couple Fridays ago and arrived in Kalamazoo, Michigan at 2 o'clock. 11 hours :banghead: Then drove to Chicago, anouther 3 hours. Was so tired. Chicago is pretty cool. The roads suck and the parking garage fee's are insane. $13-$20  Thats another subject though.

Turbo kit did arrive safely back to Kansas. (Was in a carseat in the backseat with a seatbelt over it) j/p.

Looking forward to the install. Will plan that day once I ship it to get it rebuilt with a new Iconel turbine wheel. I also have to ship the PCM to Flight Systems so they can work their magic and flash it to my VIN. Plus it came off an 05 and I have an 04 so they have to do something else so the battery light doesn't come on and thats an extra $10 or so.

Decided not to do the ceramic coating... I heard people having problems with it flaking off after a year and there really are no benefits with it for the most part. Believe me, I have really been looking into it too...

I ordered the S3 Maxxfab 3'' 02 housing. $150 shipped. A couple hours later I was on srtforums and a dude was selling a brand new one for $100 shipped. :banghead: Oh well. I had like $65 back from live cashback so it cost me like $85. Mainly got this piece because the stock on is 2.5 inches going to the exhaust system. I have a 3'' exhaust system so 3''-3'' is better.

Install will more than likely happen at a friends house. I hope everything goes by smoothly but I am preparing for the worse. I have been reading the Stage 3 feeback thread on srtforums. 250 pages long of some good info and a ton of rambling. :tardbang:

The "toys" will go on a bit after.

Here are some random picts I took:

OMG shaky hands Mitsu love:

Didn't take picts of the injectors, sensors, wiring, etc.

Car does have a new OEM timing belt/tensioner/waterpump so its ready mechanically.

Awesome!! Glad to see you got it and everything arrived safely. That is quite insane on those parking garage fees though. Damn. I'm coating my compressor housing simply for looks, same with the manifold. I also bough the Maxxfab 3.75"-3" O2 housing because PTP never returned my PM.

I hope the install goes smoothly for you
