Yes it starts after I give it gas, only when I give it gas other then that it shuts off. It runs good till I it WOT then it struggles, anyone have this problem when putting a comp 400 in? One more thing. I just found out that it is leaking coolant :banghead: I think its the gasket that I just replaced :cussing: So this weekend I will be redoing it one more time.

I got them from http://www.machiii.net/wheels/Rota_Slipstream.html. they ran me 125 a pice and shipping was free

It’s not all that hard you just have to take a lot of other things off. when doing it you will need a pully puller and someone to push in the bracks for you so you can get the pully of. It was just over 4 hours to get the head off and put the cam in. Then another 4 hours to put it all back together.

I got the car to stop leaking coolant. Come to find out it wasn’t the gasket at all. On right side of the head there are the two heat tubes that I did not put the clamps back on :banghead: . Thank goodness that’s all it was. Now that I have that figured out the batter is dead on me now. WTF

pis of the broken UDP.

I had to work so my dad tried to take it off with the 3 claw pulley puller instead of using the one with the screws.

Did you ever resolve the problems you were having with the cam?

Posted: Fri Nov 21, 2008 2:49 pm
by bstc00
Yes...I think so the cam is running fine now but when I do a cold start, its still have really rough. Some times it will just start right up then other times I have to start her several times before she runs. :banghead:

So I get off work and go to my car and there is a puddle of Trans fluid on the ground :cussing: I’m not sure what’s going on with it but I call up AAA to have my car taken to my house. I thing its the oil seal for the drive shaft. I went and got me a new one but did not have time to put it in last night. I’m starting to :cussing: hate neon’s. Just mine

Man that control arm is scary, how the hell did that happen? most importantly, how were you driving with that ? the alignment should be WAY off........

did you ever replace ball-joint before? if so, possibly it was bent while pressing the new one in, or the old one out......that is so strange..

nevertheless man, beautiful car!!! and even nicer rims

I got a call from a friend last night who had the same problem after replacing his axel. I got to his house late and it turns out he just didnt push the axel all the way in. There is a snap ring the has to go in all the way (you will hear a click) or u can leak trans fluid from there. I know they can sometimes be a pain to get in all the way, I found this out on my car but it will. Double check that.

I couldn’t' tell you how that happened. The alignment was not off at all.

I have never had the ball-joint replace before. It’s still good.

I know that strange I was wondering how that happened myself
