Some more progress!
The battery in it's new home...

I need to procure some terminal ends to finish the battery wiring still
I knew there was a reason for this notch...

It holds the throttle cable away from the timing belt perfectly
Here are some pic of the revised coolant hoses...

I may still tweak the routing a bit, not sure yet though.
I got the harness run through the frame on the passenger side finally!

The rest of the harness however...

These items will be my new best friends

And I have the proper resources available...

I hope to get the harness finished by this weekend...we'll see how that works out though.
And once all of that is done, I can get the car outside and get the dash out of the car to finish the A/C delete mod (Juan is dying to yank the dash out of Chtear...I'm a little scared!) And thats so I can use this...

On this...

And this...

here

The A/C will be deleted as close to factory appearance as I can/am willing to. I can't stand the way the non-A/C control looks, so that won't be changed (plus I would lose my outside air/recirculation switch!), and I'm not spending the money on a heater only under dash box...that's just silly imo
And to get to the grommet that I'm planning on using to bring the 0 gauge battery cable through the firewall, the dash needs to come out as well.
It's this one...

It's right in the middle of the firewall. I plan to mount this distribution block near it and pull all the circuits off it.

The alt and starter circuits will be fused independently, and the PDC will be run right off the hot side (since it is a fuse and relay block after all).
Oh, and since it's the only time anyone will see it, the are some shots of my dual horn mod.

Well, that's it for now. Hopefully I'll have some more to post soon!

Trust me, I'd love to to... but I'm in the midst of possibly making a huge career mistake (or great move if it turns out better than i'm thinking it really will)
So I may or may not have the cash/vacation time to go... we'll see as this next week comes and goes though.
So uh... horn me please?

Damn you is a horny bastard!
I will get some kind of sound comparison once the electrical system is put back together.
I'm hoping your career move turns out to be a good one
Like I said before, let me know if I can help make "naked Sean" be there for Carlise.

A good conventional battery doesn't emit much in the way of gas. The caps on the battery are sealed almost completely. And if for some reason it does start to stink, there's my excuse to upgrade
Thanks for the complements!

Here is what I was working on this evening...

These lamps were in pretty rough shape when I got them. The chrome was faded on one lamp, the lenses were pretty foggy, and both backings were cracked. But I got them for a good price, and I figured I could do some magic with them.
Rather than try to re-do the chrome, I simply color matched the backs.

Then I used some Mopar Jeep soft top window cleaner on the lenses. I think they came out much better than they were (of course I don't have any before pics, so you have to take my word on it

Almost final results

I say almost because I still have to glue the lenses back on and seal the cracks in the backing.
Here is an idea of how they will look on the car (sorry, my camera and lighting don't do them justice)

The worst part about it is now you can really tell how dirty my car is. Once the mechanical work is done, the next month will be spent cleaning and restoring the paint. *Sigh* It never ends.
More to come...
