Graphics going on my SRT-4

*CAUTION* Some may consider this "rice"*CAUTION*



Flames = color of the car
Flame outline = gold/bronze
Negative space = metallic red

i like it there not bad at all and as long as they arent on the front of the car then there fine i hate it when the front of the car has flames to me thats rice. except old mucle cas then its redneck lol jk

I picked the car up last night. I cant wash it or finish putting it together for 30 days. At the end of the month the shop is going to wet sand and buff it.


This cost me almost $1500 for 2 stage color and clear, body work, and wet sanding and clearing all the carbon.


Maaco was the body shop and for what I paid I'm very happy with the outcome. I know its not 100% perfect but she looks a lot better then when I dropped her off.

Not in the DC Metro area. I went to a real body shop and got quoted $6000+ to do the same thing.

yea 1500 for a full paintjob isnt bad at all.

my fault. i dont know what i was thinking. i tought u only had a few parts painted and it had costed you $1500. but the whole car for $1500 isnt bad at all.




lol on the real body shop thing. my local chevy dealer..( since they have the paint booth there and all ) will charge anywhere from 4k to like 6k for a paint job. and thats with you doing all the prep work. but that rite there is like a OEM finish paint job.

I'm a tad bit confused why they're waiting 30 days to wetsand and buff it. You do that right after it's cured and put back together. You can put it together anytime you want if the paint is cured you just can't wax it for 30 days because the solvents need to evaporate. Strange that they said that....

little update.

graphics are getting vectorized (scanned into the computer).

car gets dropped off Tuesday for wet sand and buff.....lots of orange peel

waiting for color sample so i can powder coat the wheels.


Carlisle is so close....not enough time

Don't you have aftermarket wheels for your car? Because the SRT snowflakes stick out like a sore thumb on your car.

yeah i know...it will look good after the wet sand and buff....or they will be be re painting the car.

I have 5zigans getting powder coated as soon as i get a color sample from the graphic shop.

Hell yah. I love 5zigens.

ordered the custom powder for the wheels. should have it in about 2 weeks. ive pretty much run out of money so the graphic may have to wait a little longer.
