wanna race?
Love too except it would have to wait until Carlisle next year as the season is over and I can't afford new tires for the front end of the car. High torque and bald tires at 2200rpm really sucks

Should have a DSP by Wednesday!!! 93 tune here we come!!!

got the DSP today (thanks bstc00). after 4 hours of trying to get it updated i ended up needing a new usb cord. went to radio shack and they only had the $39 gold plated one. got back home and updated the DSP and installed the 93 tune. took Lola for a test drive and since it was raining all day all i was able to do was spin the tires. hopefully tomorrow morning the road will be dry so i can test it on my way to work.

I say Joe would win.
And after seeing what you have done and your times. I'm really hoping to break into the 12's.

I agree that Joe would come out on top. That 93 tune can really wake the car right up

Everything I read on srt forums points to the 93 tune not being plug and play unless your car is completely stock. Try resetting the computer by disconnecting battery terminal and see if that works. Usually helps boost issues from what I've been reading.
PCM has adaptive wastegate learning shit..

true since ive been driving like a granny since i installed the dsp...ill try this and see what happens although im not on pcm controlled boost...

Then what I said doesn't matter. If you aren't on pcm controlled boost the dsp would have nothing to do with how much boost is being made, only the wastegate should control that.
Only thing the dsp will do now is pull timing. I'm guessing atleast. Been doing LOTS of reading, but still learning.

it will do more then just timing.

Well no you misunderstood me. I'm saying the dsp will pull boost if something is wrong. It will also pull timing if something is wrong, like too much knock.
Since you aren't pcm controlled, it will only pull timing, not boost too.

oh..ive been reading the 3bar stuff on srtforums and it got me thinking about going to pcm boost with the 3bars. i need a new fuel pressure gauge 1st and hook my FPR up to boost and adjust it to 44psi.

Yea thats what my plans are come summer.
Getting (2) 3 bar maps from a caliber and modding them to work for the map/tip neon sensor. Then getting 3 bar injectors and having everything scaled and probably get a tune.

ALWAYS reset the PCM, THEN put your tune in, WGA adaptives can/will remain causing the new tune to not function the way it's intended. Once resetting give it some time to learn the new ways. DSP will add to PCM controlled boost by controlling it by RPM (adding or taking away).

I saw that run in person. Joe's car is badass!! Sucks that most test and tune cars had problems hooking up this past Saturday

Sounds like he hooked pretty well then. Congrats on the times, thats not bad at all for a stock turbo SRT. Drag radials?
