How hard is it to pull the dash completely? I've done about 5-6 dashes in my lifetime and all were on mazdas except one (nissan maxima). I cant take this taupe dash much more.

it isn't too bad. really the biggest pain is that the wiring is woven through it.

did a little more work yesterday and this morning. just waiting on a couple parts to get here next week. getting down to the wire!!!

interior is completely in. new clutch hydraulics are in and bled, new brakes are on and bled, rear suspension is installed... just have a couple more things to do like hang 3 more doors, install the front sway bar (rear is trashed), and install bumpers. here's a few pics of some fun things though

i picked up a koyo factory replacement with fan from the yard for $40
Image

also picked up a rear deck without the child latches or center belt
Image

here's a pic of the shaved trunk. gonna finish painting when i get back from carlisle... or maybe over the winter since i'm lazy :P

installed braided brake hoses
Image

ETX18L motorcycle battery installed (340 CCA) to allow for JMB ultimate intake
Image

got a dirt cheap AGM battery from work, so i decided to make an auxiliary battery location

They're apparently all over the yards up here on the early 2nd gens that were super base model. Came with a center lap belt which I'm not running

Huh. Alright. Thanks for the info. I personally never looked at the rear deck area at the yard, that's why I'm surprised... and delighted.

Anywho, keep up the good work ! It's looking nicer and nicer every day !

I think that you missed your calling- working the line at Belvidere. I'm amazed at how quickly you've built it.

well, the car has been running and driving since saturday evening. i've been dialing in the megasquirt since i now have a new fuel system. i'm curious to see what kind of fuel mileage i'll be getting now. actually, i'm praying that it's the same or better with this big ass trip
