Man that is some nice work!

you say that cause it's cell phone pics. if you saw the welds you wouldn't be so impressed. they're not TIG. i don't have a TIG at home. as a matter of face, i'm using flux-core...

isn't one side of the stock srt4 IC supposed to have oval piping? (i keep forgetting if its hot or cold) does the coupler fasten properly on the oval pipe?

correct, one side is oval. the hot side since you forgot. but a clamp will form the coupler around it and take care of that with no issue.

ahh i see. I heard some of the srt guys saying their couplers "blew" off once boost was running through the pipes, but i take it they just didn't fasten it correctly... What exhaust are you planing on running?

i have Borla cat-back already. problem is that i have a Pacesetter header. i need to modify my exhaust between the cat and header to make installing a custom downpipe/O2 housing

what type of exhaust flange have you got on the turbine housing? i was thinking of just getting an ebay universal 5 bolt downpipe for my gt30r and welding it to the rest of the exhaust... saves me having to weld the flange on to the pipe and make my piping more aesthetically unpleasant lol .
why would the Pacesetter cause a problem (unless of course you are running a long tube header?)

I have a 3" v-band. And its the way the header connects to the rest of the exhaust that isn't turbo friendly

been busy the last couple days.
looked online and couldn't justify spending $40 on something i could make for $20... ghetto-fab vacuum block (tube)
got the MS harness ran, not wired in though. i stole this idea from somebody on here. not sure who, but i like it so thanks.
got the Tru-Boost in and wired up. all that's left on this is to connect it to the wastegate.
moved the volt meter and put in the UEGO. UEGO wires are ran, just not connevted yet
making the most of unused space. this area is housing the boost control solenoid and harness so far. i also moved the box for cruise control up into there.

while wiring in the MS i decided to have some fun. some guy on srtforums wanted a crazy amount of cash for his "custom" dip stick. i had everything needed already... a dip stick, a stock srt shift knob, and time to let the epoxy dry.

just so you know if you want the extra room you can completely remove that vacume box for the cruise control, it will still work without it, theres a few ppl that have done it including myself.

guess what guys...
i decided to see what it looks like back there without the manifold

I was getting ready to go postal on you there for a second. "How the hell did you get your manifold?!"

i was hoping to get a rise out of somebody... but i'll have pics of some new things in a little bit

so the stock coolant overflow won't fit with the turbo, so i modified an old rattle can to work as an overflow
had this injector cover sitting around for a long time and wanted to do all sorts of "sweet" things to it. today i decided flat black is fine

this is how it's currently running... i know it's kinda rice, but it actually took a fair amount of time so i'm writing it off as some stuff that i don't have to do when the manifold comes.
cold side pipe on, just needs the vacuum line ran from the BOV to the intake manifold
so the air IS running through the intercooler, thus i put a small air filter on the other side of the intercooler
NO FLAMING! i know it's "rice", "gay", "retarded"... it's just something i'm willing to put up with till the manifold gets here

watch, it will probably run awsome and everybody will start doing it

I like it. I often try to get little stuff like that outta the way when I'm doing big projects.

it runs just the same. i highly doubt the intercooler will make any difference, but at least i have all that stuff hooked up. the inlet side of the intercooler is a real pain in the ass!

just a temporary thing...
this is my wonderful cat-less 3" downpipe
and this got finished up this morning. the 3" O2 housing
