Don't Hate
While 5% would be nice, I don't want to deal with the hassle of VA cops.
You bring up a interesting point Nick. This color black wasn't offered on the SRT. Her car is X8 black (same color the Neon used), but the SRT uses a black with metallic in it. So it makes this clone even more unique
No I feel you man, It sucks though I didn't start getting crap about my tints until 3 years after I had them, I guess I been somewhat lucky lol
But Anyway tell your wife she has one of the better looking caliber's out there, and makes me appreciate them more since hers looks very nice

Update!
The time has come for Shyla's yearly state inspection. The tires were shot (well, they were crap before that, but eh) and needed to be replaced to pass. No money for tires mean getting creative.
We had two sets of wheels and tires taken off nearly new Chargers sitting in the parts department. Simply 17" steel wheels with so-so tires (Goodyear Integrity 215/65/17
). It was a shot in the dark if they would work or not, but I love the results!
What do you think?
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

That is Beautiful!!! I love it.
Lol it reminds me of an undercover cop.
But really it looks Beast and it sits alot nicer, less wheel gap. 2nd picture is best IMO.

Thanks folks
That tire and wheel combo really do fill the wheel wells perfect. No rub anywhere. I love the cop car look. I may even go as far as getting the cop wheels center caps to finish the look.
I was showing Juan the car yesterday and we both were commenting on how the car looks good with the larger tires. I was reminded of Nee when I put them on

She was kinda bored last year. While she likes the car thing in small doses, a whole weekend is a bit much for her. I'll be bringing my son instead

Center caps and trim rings, and it's perfect.

I have been kicking the idea of trim rings around. The cop wheels don't use them anymore, and these are 17" wheels, so I need to see what is available. Not sure if it would be too much chrome now since I have removed most of the chrome from the car

Actually... use the dog dish center caps with the trim rings. That would really look good.

The new style dog dish caps that they use on the cop wheels are a bit different than the old style ones. They are more like rally caps.
On top of that, I think they use a different wheel for those caps. I don't have any way to retain the cap on these wheels that I know of.

Nope, not those ones. I'm talking old school dog dish smoothies.

Do it Frank
Those are the kind of caps I am thinking of too. Well, ideally I would want these...
to give me a Super Coupe look
But honestly, this is my favorite look, although the cap would be too big...
I agree with you Dave about the bigger tire look. When I put them on, it made me miss my old Road Runner...

The 3rd pic you posted is almost exactly the look I was talking about. Except with trim rings, obviously.

Not a problem. Here is the thread I made about all my old cars...
viewtopic.php?t=29039
The car was actually a 74 Satellite Sebring Plus that became a Road Runner clone.
The bigger tires just fill the wheel wells perfectly on this car. The next tires I get will be some 225/60/17. Same diameter but more rubber and a stiffer sidewall. The Caliber just overpowers these tires. I don't see how the LX cars can handle at all with these things

No easy way to say this, but Shyla is no longer with us. Because of my pay situation we got too far behind in payments. She was repossesed a few weeks ago. Needless to say, Chris was pretty upset (me too for that matter).
While the burden of the payment is off our shoulders, there is a Caliber shaped hole left in our hearts. She will be missed
