The more I think about it, you should definitely call a lawyer, just to see what your options are at this point. Even to check the options on making him pay for something that may go wrong with his repairs down the road.

Wow dood, just wow.

This guy reminds me of two episodes ago on The Office, the 'Mafia' episode when Andy was impersonating a mechanic...

'Black goes on the red... with the-- if we-- positive. It-- your motor drive is probably.. down.'

'You have a blown spark tube, car's totaled'

I don't say this often, but it might be worth taking it to the dealer. Those guys see Cobalt's day in and day out.

I'd let them know everything that was touched by this shop, so they could go back over it. A general inspection of the whole car wouldn't hurt, either. With the amount of seemingly 'rare' occurrences, I'd hate to just trust that everything else is in proper working order. Who knows if anything else was rigged together just to avoid buying a replacement, or the like.

All the scratches, nicks, scuffs, and dents that your car has likely experienced throughout this whole process makes me sad.

I actually have every intention to take it to a dealer as it stands right now, I just figured I'd see if you know anyone trust worthy as well. I'm having Jeremy do a full detailed report on all the shit they worked on, what broke, what they fixed, what part numbers they used, ect ect. I plan to take it to one of the dealers around here (not sure who) and talking to the service manager about the whole situation i dealt with. Pay them to go over every detail regardless of cost, just so i can have peace of mind about this shit.

I'm rather pissed to think of what may of happened to the paint as well, because it's getting a bit late in the season to find the time to buff everything out.

What a goddamn headache.

you should probably just trade me cars once yours is fixed. :)

Anyways Hope you get it back in one piece I've always liked this car. I've had a few bad experiences with shops that's why I try to do everything my self now.

I agree with him to a point. You change your mind about your car so frequently. I wouldn't be surprised if after a while you start modding your new car.

Wow wtf....I guess I'm not the only one that finds these fucking moronic shops. Best of luck getting it fixed and everything squared away this time around. Hopefully the dealership can come through. However after that I would then prosecute him in civil court for the fees you will have to pay at the dealership to correct his wrongdoings.

You have everything going for you in that respect, incurring additional charges and repairs because of something a prior shop did should NOT fall onto your shoulders.

No Crystal... I fear I started the body shop failure here at 2gn. BRR has the wrecked Neons curse, I have the poorly repaired vehicles curse.

that was all before I had my own place though. fuck, i bought my cobalt before i even moved into my own apartment. i was living in my girlfriends apartment at the time. i realize a bit more that i need instead of what i want right now. some hauling space + reliable = win

and if everything checks out, i wont be filing a small claims case or anything. i'll eat the cost for the peace of mind.... however, if it doesn't, well... i'll cross that bridge when it comes.

i'm glad that everyone's behind me though 100% with all this bullshit. it helps keep my head on straight so i don't go out of line with my temper, so I thank you all in that sense. hopefully when i get the car back it'll check out just fine and i'll be done with this fucking nightmare.

I wouldn't eat the cost, then again I guess it all depends on what the "cost" amounts to. If it's just $100 then that's really nothing, but a few hundred or more and I definitely would. It doesn't cost hardly anything, at least around here.

I can't imagine it'll be over $100 honestly, which is nothing in the grand scheme of modding cars.

I got a text last night at about 6:30. the car is done, so I go to pick it up today.

Wish me luck.

So off topic but its your progress log..

I saw some House of Pain or whatever stage outside of a Haunted House.. (House of Shock in New Orleans - bad ass haunted house and shit) but these two guys were hooked together by some piercings on their pecks (chest you perves) and basically leaning back and doing other random stuff.

They had a DJ ripping it up while he was hooked to some weights on the stage.

It reminded me of you Opi...lol. It was really cool to watch..

Yes you're right $100 isn't much when it cuts right down to it. Best of luck, hopefully the car is clean and proper.

 Funny, because a friend of mine suspended outside a haunted house two weeks ago. However, she was a fucking moron becuase it was around 40* out and she could of threw herself into shock.

That stuff is fun to watch, but I don't do shows anymore. Just not my thing
