Ahh, I must have missed that. I just created my own login so I can view the thread. Haven't posted anything yet, although I almost did last night... simply to point out the glaring inconsistencies with Jeremy's story.

The most annoying part of all of this, is I at least want to go clean my fucking interior out and get that damn smell out... but it's probably wise I just don't touch the car until I talk to a lawyer.

The real fun part is, I'm swamped at work and it's going to be hard to find time to get a few days off of work.

I wouldn't touch it. Pictures are good and all, but nothing is better than real proof.

Have the dealer detail everything once it's all said and done and give that bill to Jeremy too.

It's actually not even going to go to a dealer yet either. The car is just going to set until I get advice from a lawyer on what steps to take. I don't want to screw myself over in any way possible.

I just want my car working again, that's it. It's not that much to ask for

Yea I meant the dealer after everything is all figured out. Cuz if you go now you could end up eating the cost in the f'd up world we live in.

Looks like people are finally calming down a little bit on TT and actually making smart posts. Jeremy's wife was starting to make things worse for everyone. Hope everything works out for you, Josh. You talk to a lawyer yet?

Sorry Josh... I couldn't help myself.

I did refrain from straight up bashing him.....for the most part. :P

I'm glad he keeps talking though.

Exactly. They broke it.. They fix it. But at this point you don't want them touching your car ever again.

If he was a good guy he should just write you a check for everything that is needed part wise and labor. But of course, I don't see that happening.

Good luck man, what a nightmare indeed.

Burnout in a gravel parking lot with a new clutch!?..they were serious? Haha

Wow, that is bad.

You will need an estimate from the dealership for the parts and labor to get the car back to as it was.

I would also seek an estimate from the best body shop you can find to get repairs done.

As well, seek out a professional detailer in your area and get an estimate to get it all cleaned up. The forum at the link below might help with finding someone good:

http://www.detailcity.org/forums/

As well, seek compensation for being without the car for a month... so find out what a rental would have cost you for the month.

Add all of the above up and add a few bucks for the grief you have been through with this and it will give you an idea of what to see in terms of damages.

As for the dog... sure one can go all soft on pets, but pets should not be going around bitting people. I would not hesitate to take action on that front as well. At the very least please seek medical attention.

<shakes head> What is the world coming to?

I talked to a lawyer today about my case. He's a New York lawyer but has at least given me somewhere to start. I've been e-mailing and writing down phone numbers of Consumer Rights lawyers all around the area today as well. Hopefully I can find one tomorrow to present my case with.

Something fun I found out as well:
"When you have been ripped off by a repair facility, you don't have to put up with it. In many cases you have the right to recover 3 times your actual damages, or even $200 when you have no damages at all, plus attorney fees if you have to hire an attorney."

That'd be good news if I won and he covered my attorney.

Also, went to move the car today. My coolant temp sensor is out and cases my fans to turn on instantly and run for a few minutes when the car is off. I've decided I'm just not going to touch the car anymore. Not until I talk to a lawyer and find out my next plan of action.

i just took 2 hours out of my evening to read your log, especially the posts concerning the repairs.

i really don't know what to say at this point, at all. that is completely inexcusable, and i don't know how the shop owner sleeps at night.

i mean, in my detailing business, i actually CARE about what i do. if a customer isnt happy with something, i make it right, no questions asked. i have had nothing but satisfied customers mind you, but if a problem were to arise, i would handle it promptly and with no expense spared.

thats how businesses should work, at least in my opinion, and i'm sure most other peoples' as well.

good luck getting everything straightened away dude, you did nothing wrong.

scott.

It actually isn't as hard as you might think. When you get the 'special tool' socket on there, the normal socket over that, and then throw an impact into the mix it can get wobbly if just carelessly spun on.

That's why I hand tighten mine. It doesn't take much longer and you don't have the added risk to save a few minutes.

Police found it around 2-3am last night. Needless to say, it's not looking good :(

i'll post more info when everything is resolved, but needless to say saturday isn't going to happen

when it rains, it pours, eh?
All updates for dates, time, locations, and donations will be posted here.

Date: Saturday, November 21st
Time: Preferably around 10am.
Location:
If you're in Toledo BEFORE 10am, or staying the night Friday night, come out to my apartment. Once you pull into Fox Creek, make an instant right and my apartment is down on the left. You'll see the Peon and SHO in front of it.

2015 N McCord Rd
Apt 44
Toledo, Ohio 43615

If you plan to show up AFTER 10am, head to the garage which is TBD right now.

Contact info:
Phone: 419-615-7541

Texting is preferred. I hate talking on the phone.

Details:
Obviously, if you don't know the story, you wont be showing up. We're tearing the car down to complete stock. Almost EVERYTHING aftermarket is coming off the car. The only parts up in the air are springs, exhaust, and motor mounts because I need stockers to replace them. The stereo is being ripped out, all engine mods, and the whole car detailed. The oil pan needs changed out, I have a CEL to try and figure out (may or may not be fixed come that saturday) and a clunk in the driver side that needs fixed. At this point, I'm assuming the suspension just needs tightened up.

After it's all said and done, the car is being towed out to get re-flashed back to stock, and I'm hosting a mini-gathering at my apartment. Food, beer, pop will be provided thanks to the wonderful donators of 2gn. I can't thank these people enough for their generosity. It means just as much as those who are taking time out of their day to come and help. I believe Cassie (my significant other) will be baking cake as well  But, speaking of donations….

Donations are now open. Please send the money to mr.josh.zombie@gmail.com. through pay-pal. All proceeds go to the people working on my car. Every little bit helps.
Even if it's $1 or $500, everything counts. I don't expect anyone to donate, but it's a great way to thank the men and woman coming out to physically help.

Donators:
1. cbjones26 - $10
2. TheRandom1 - $.02 (dick )
3. NickKo - $10
4. Danteneon - $100
5. LowNSlow - $10
6. Chris04sxt - $20
5. occasional demons - $25

I want to thank EVERY single person helping me out. Either though support, money, labor, or the research you've done for me. If it wasn't for you guys, I'd be completely fucked and spending thousands to fix my car. Once again, THANK YOU. If you want to come down Friday night or stay Saturday, I have a couch and floor space. It's not a large apartment by any means, but it'll do. :loll: First come, first serve.

Now back to the original post:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frank gave me special privileges to come post all this bullshit here. :D
Apparently 150 posts is required to even see this section of the forum, so it should be safe from any TT asshole trying to come and start shit or relay information.

To start off, regarding this whole lawsuit of mine, I'm completely fucked. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go read my project log. Some shit happened, was going to take a "shop" to court, until my lawyer told me this:
MO's owner has been involved in at least 3 lawsuits in the last year; 2 of which were small claims matters in Toledo Muni for $1,650 and $2,700. MO or the owner (JG) didn't respond to the small claims matters, and the plaintiffs were awarded default judgments. MO's owner does not own any real property in this county, and he probably doesn't have a job (other than this one) where someone could garnish his wages. If JG doesn't have any assets, it would probably be very difficult to collect on a judgment, if you filed suit and won. Therefore, because it appears that collecting would be a big problem, I would not be willing to take this matter on a contingent basis.
MO = Jeremy's shop
JG = Jeremy

So, because he's a deadbeat with nothing to his name, I can't take him to court unless I hire an attorney that will pay by the hour, which would end up costing me WELL over the amount it's going to take to fix my car. No lawyer that will accept a contingent payment is going to take my case. Even if I DO win, there's a slim chance I'll be able to collect my judgement, because technically, he has nothing to his name.

So, to be blunt, I just got fucked in the ass. Hard. Harder than I have ever in my life been rammed.

I now have a cobalt that I owe almost $15,000 on, that isn't necessary drivable.
-Strange clunking in the front end
-Car can't read the temp sensor. Sensor could possibly be damaged, my fans turn on full fucking blast as soon as the car is started
-I'm idling about 1.1k rpms, could be because of the TERRIBLE exhaust leak
-Down-pipe needs attached to the rest of the exhaust properly.

This is where any dignity I have ever had, any sense of "being a man" i have ever had, goes out the fucking window.

However, on top of that "i'm a huge huge bitch" move, I'm also asking for help of ANY and ALL locals in the area. I want my car taken back to 100% stock.

My plan is to take the car to stock, sell off every aftermarket part I can (roughly 2k worth of items.) toss that money towards paying the car down to trade in value (roughly 10.5k) and trading it in for a 2010 Scion xB. I'll update this post weekly to let everyone know how close I get to my goal.

I need a garage and a few helping hands to accomplish this so I can get it done in a day. I want my car torn down, all the stock parts back on, and as many problems as I can get solved, solved.

Things that need removed/replaced with stock:
-CAI
-Supercharger pulley
-Injectors
-Belt
-Wideband/Inceptor needs removed
-Stereo
-Headlights
-Etc, etc.

There's more, I just don't feel like listing it all out. It's not a hell of a lot of working, but with one guy in a parking lot, it sucks. It sucks a lot actually. If someone in the area can lend a garage for a day, I'll work around whatever schedule they may have and try to set a date to get everything done.

I'll buy beer/pizza and offering housing for anyone willing to drive out for the day.

I never, in my life thought I'd have to ask for help here on 2gn. I've been here for 3 years, have had some fucked up shit happen, but always gotten through it. This time though, I need some help. I refuse to even post any of this on Toledo Tuners because they're all awfully shady.

If you guys can't physically/finicially help, then I understand fully, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

:-( I wish I didn't live so far away, Josh. I would gladly drive over to help you. Unfortunately, I can't really help out on the money situation either. :-(

Sorry to hear the lawsuit isn't gonna work out. If you do need some backup, let me know. Even with it being a 13 hours drive I'll gladly come help you out. :-)

By no means am I STRESSING for donations. I just figured it wouldn't hurt to put it out there, and if I do get a few bucks, I'll use it to buy pizza/beer/help pay for peoples gas.

If you want to help now though, PM the actives memebrs on the board and link them to this thread. I know the street racing section doesn't get much activity, and at work using the remote connection to my home computer makes it harder than balls to navigate this site.
