Funny moment of the day:

Image

Got pulled over this morning, about 15 seconds from work.
After 2 and a half months, passing numerous cops, state highway finally told me to take off my plate cover. He wasn't an asshole about it at all. I asked him nicely if it could be done quickly, because i was right about to be at work and pointed to the building. He laughed, walked to his car, can my name, and came back with a written warning to take it off. I was only pulled over for about 2 minutes thankfully. I thanked him for making it quick and was on my way.

And of course, about 15 cars passed me that i work with, so I get into work and everyone asks why i was pulled over

I figure with all the illegal things on my car, (window tint, exhaust too loud, car too low, tail lights to dark) I got off pretty easy. He didn't even mention any of that. Just wanted to be able to see my plates.

Time to move the cover to the front of the car

Wow got lucky there. I've gotten two warnings for window tint, a warning for tinted taillights, and a fix-it ticket for my right brake not working. But unfortunately I had to take off the taillight tint so they could see the light at the station.

You really lucked out cause Ohio cops are usually dicks, but maybe that's just us towards us stupid Michiganders who speed on your highways haha. 5 miles over the speed limit and they will still nail us.

in the 3 years of owning a modded car in ohio, i've only been pulled over once for anything. That was with my neon and the clear 3rd brake light. I forgot to get a red LED for the light and it shown clear. Cop pulled me over, told me where to buy the LED, and sent me on my way. He was REAL nice about it too, saying that the cheap painted bulb i bought probably just burned off and to try and stay away from 'em.

The second time i was pulled over for a mod was in Michigan for my blue neon license plate frame... and now back in ohio for my plate cover, which is understandable actually. You CAN'T see my license plate even during the day  i just think it look cool.

I've had more problems with michigan cops than ohio cops... i think it's an out of towner thing really. i pity the day i get the book thrown at me though for all this shit on my car... i'll cry!

Thanks!
Yea, these cars are damn pricey... and most black balts I see follow the same trend. Black out everything!

So, good news today. Got my tracking number for my Armrest/Dome light. They should all be here next Friday. (long ass shipping...)

Also, the eyelids are officially SOLD! so those damn things will get out of my sight and the money will go towards the next mod-o-choice. :)

I'm thinking next Saturday is going to be work on the 'balt day. Re-tint and clear the taillights and finally get around to painting the brake calipers. We'll see though.

Got up to Amits place of work Saturday and picked up a set of 6000k HIDs.

Image

Yes, HIDs in stock housing = BAD. I was always against it too until I just got these. I figure I'll toss them in the housing and see what they look like. If the glare is terrible, then back to stock. If not, well, then they stay. :)

I ordered the relay last night, so it's just a matter of waiting until it gets in. In the mean time, I installed my blue-tooth set-up in the car instead of selling it. I rarely make phone calls, but I figured on long trips the whole hands-free set up thing could be a life saver, so I got everything ran, and the brain of the bluetooth hidden. There's actually a LOT of spots to hide crap at in my car.... Good luck to theifs getting EVERYTHING out of my car. :D

The car desperately needs washed... hopefully I'll find time this week to do that.

My HID relay came in today, and I got them all hooked up to the car. It wasn't that bad of an install at all. I took my sweet sweet time and did it right. :)

Pics of bluetooth installed and working:

I'm just sitting here waiting for it to get dark to see how bad glare is. *yawn*

Yay night shots. Yay:

Hids on:

Brights on:

FYI: Brights are not actually that bright... hell, i think they're dimmer than my stock running lights. :?

The next time I'm driving around at night will decide if I keep 'em on or not. I do head down to the country every once in awhile, so visibility is a key factor here.

All in due time.

Clean install. They look decent but I'm sure you'll have some glare.

The brights are mainly aimed higher and longer in front of you - not much brighter, like you said. Looks good! And yay for warnings, fats ones even better FTW.

fats = fast

Yea, probably. I know HIDs in stock housings are bad. I've heard the stories, preached a bit myself, but when a set of them are tossed in my lap i HAVE to give them a test myself

I see cars every night with HID's in a non projector housing and it doesn't bother me enough to freak out beep and swerve like a tart Lol.

Looks good though i don't really like projectors for the balts yet either.

Yeah, brights are a good thing. If you don't have them THIS will happen.

The avic = PURE SEX

seriously. i have no complaints. the ipod controls are flawless, the radio picks up more stations then my last head unit, there's a lot of control over the sound, the bluetooth is pretty damn awesome as well.

The gps is a small pain in the ass because of the learning curve. it's just different than my last system so i'm getting used to it.

honestly, the avic is worth every damn penny

You wont be disappointed

My armrest and dome light came in yesterday. The fuckers didn't put the installation parts in with the armrest... so it's a bit worthless to me. I e-mailed them and am sitting here waiting on a response.

The dome light will go in next time I have the chance to do it.

Thanks! :) I'm happy with the way my car is going

So, I went driving Wednesday night to the club. The HIDs are bright as fuck, and they sure do look nice, but I was flashed about 4 times and the "brights" on these arn't even comparable to a flashlight. So, there's a 90% chance they're coming out. I drive to much in the country to risk driving visibility. Nothing is going on my car unless it has a positive effect.

I called up the place that sent me the armrest. They want me to ship the thing back, and then they'll send me another package.

I was afraid that it would happen this way. They can't just send me the parts, oh noe. They have to have me send the arm rest back so they can then send me an armrest AGAIN but with hardware....

Fucking retarded.

So, lesson learned. I hate dealerships still. Especially ones that are across the country. I figured it'd be worth saving a few bucks and waiting awhile instead of going up to my local place and ordering one. Shows what I know.

Thats the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard. They can't just send you the damn bracket and bolts? What speds. I hate stupid people.

Well, good thing. The guys at the dealership in washington called me and said do NOT ship the armrest back, and they're actually sending me the hardware.

Thank god

That was about the only update I have for my log.

I'm waiting patiently on the hardware for my armrest... and I really need to buy winter tires....

Outside of that, I'm pretty happy with how my car stands for the time being.

I've come a long way in my car modding ways. I gotta say, I am loving how the car sits. Another thousand or two and it'll be completely how I want it exterior wise.
