I wouldn't say you rev higher...but you will get a lot better throttle response, which is just fine on an n/a neon. The only potential problem would be that depending on how light it is it may have idling issues or could be more difficult to get going from a start due to a lack of inertia. But I really doubt it, you should be fine and you'll probably grow to like it way more...

A lightened flywheel reduces the mass moment of inertia of the flywheel; which makes it easier to turn. It won’t necessarily rev faster, but it takes less power to turn it, which puts more power to the wheels (whcih consequently accelerates the car faster). The wheels are still mechanically linked to the engine/ground, so the engine will only rev as fast as the car accelerates.

Your explanation made no sense...You said it won't rev faster, but the car will accelerate faster! and that the engine will only rev as fast as the car will accelerate.....YOU JUST IT WOULD ACCELERATE FASTER!
I don't know where you learned physics, but if you have two same wheels of different weights and applied equal force to each the lighter one will rev faster!
Who made the lightened flywheel you were gonna get?

Damnit!
If you change your mind about the blue, let me know before you powdercoat them. I was debating on whether or not to buy those, but I know that was the last set.

So I got the car back today. Which means I had to learn how to work the new clutch and flywheel in the snow storm. Lol, it was fucking ridiculous.
But as far as it goes, the bite on the clutch is almost immediate, and the car does rev a little faster. The shift are tight, and rock the whole car hahah. Unfortunately I can't really get on it or compression brake for 500 miles, so I'll have to update after 500 miles. Which will be a while.

Car is looking great as usual.
oh well the new one is amazing.
i've ONLY put 175 miles on it since i got it back, 325 miles to go before i can finally get back on it again!!! the car hasn't seen past 4k. but from 3-4 it definitely rev's faster than before. gahhhh.
oh and someone asked what flywheel i got, i got a 95 neon clutchmasters flywheel, 9 pounds.

So it isn't unbearable? I've got the fidanza 95 flywheel, which is 7 lbs. It's not on yet of course, but I've had a couple people tell me it's noisy as hell and hard to daily drive.

It's not unbearable, but when your stuck in traffic, or just don't feel like driving, it's just another annoyance. But the driver feel you get back in return is so worth it. I don't think it's that much more noisy than stock, you can definitely feel them grab in first and reverse, but nothing bad. As far as difficulty for daily driving, maybe for the first few days. Then once you get used to it, your set.
